A lot of times,that's the case. But the Aledo recruiting history is long and well known.

Try to find Jonothan Gray's rushing records from Aledo Middle School - (hint - you won't find them).

I don't doubt this but 1) not sure how flagrant it is and 2) how they actually do it and 3) what other schools are offenders (Westlake? North Shore? Southlake Carroll? Duncanville? or are they clean).

I guess you have to go down to 4A and below to watch pure Texas HS football?

After getting rolled by Aledo last year in the finals seems pretty obvious that the collection of talent in Aledo is not random

I am thinking the number of players on a varsity team could be limited and a large percentage of spots on the varsity team had to play at the local middle school might be a way to try and stop parents from relocating to these juggernaut programs

For example limit the numbers on Varsity at 60 and at least 45 of the varsity had to play at the local middle school
If A local kid who is sophomore would be placed on varsity over a Jr relocate to maintain the correct ratio parents would be less likely to relocate

Of course if there are injuries the team could pull up a kid from JV but limiting the number of kids that could dress for a varsity game is possibly part of the solution

That's the dumbest thing I have ever read. It makes absolutely no sense.

When tu could offer 150 scholarships they could get more talent than they needed and kept the players from going to places like A&M or Arky or Baylor

My kids went to Consol 8-12 years ago, if the 2015 class at Consol could have stayed intact before the CSHS split, they would have had a good chance to win the 6A title. They blew out Westlake in the 2013 quarter finals before losing to Lake Travis who they beat in Austin the year before. I think CSHS was the last team to beat Aledo at state .... I could be wrong.

To my knowledge neither Consol or CSHS have recruited, although it can be argues parents like to send their kids to newer schools with newer facilities when they can.

10 years ago Everman had a stud 8th grader that was an absolute beast on defense. Spring of that same school year the kid was dominating the district track and field meet for Aledo Middle School.

Every Katy ISD team was knocked out of the playoffs by the second round. Four teams isn't that big of deal. Just enjoy it.

It's like people that used to ***** about too many bowl games. So you're upset about more football?

I currently have a kid at CSHS
CSISD keeps the shenanigans to a minimum
I have noticed the TAMU coaches who generally have athletic kids tend to end up CSHS I can think of a handful off the top of my head including Elkos kid who I think played both football and baseball

I don't think they are that good at basketball…and they football season ended last night.

Carroll's kicker is going to TCU. Already hit FG's from 51 & 40 yards.

DeSoto beat Duncanville.

Would be funny if two teams from District 11-6A won both 6A state championships.

Southlake lost in district to Byron Nelson by 17, then beat them last week 56-7.

If they both get to finals ...AND both north shore and summer Creek make finals...all 4 teams will.be from 2 districts!

They may not do it now but Ross Rogers was brought up before the district committee a dozen or more times for recruiting.

They moved up to 6a. They did make it to state a few years ago with Ewers at QB, but lost to Westlake.
