Florida St looks like they have by far the best defense out of the schools vying for the CFP.

There are a couple of things that are in Florida St's favor.

Yes... they were the weakest looking team this weekend, but that can easily be explained by them starting a 3rd string quarterback.

They played 2 SEC powerhouses out of conference in LSU and Florida and handled them both quite easily. I'm not one to penalize a schools if a traditional power doesn't have as great a season as they are accustomed to.
It takes balls to play LSU and Florida OOC.

Texas played Alabama OOC....but who else? Rice and Wyoming. It could easily be argued that if you replace Rice or Wyoming with LSU or Florida then Texas might have another loss.

Even if Florida sucked this season, Im not one to hold that against FSU. Florida is a team that you would expect to be elite most years.

Florida St being undefeated with wins over Miami, Clemson, LSU and Florida should get you in the CFP.

You can't leave undefeated teams out or it trivializes the entire normal season.

There is no way you can leave out an undefeated FSU. The fact that they still managed to beat a top 15 team and win the conference championship with a true freshman QB3 only helps their argument.

And while I think Bama would beat sips by 2 TDs or more now, fact is sips beat them convincingly this year.

But Alabama has a loss at home.
Florida St is undefeated with wins over traditional powers Florida, LSU, Clemson and Miami....and their win today over Louisville is more impressive than Okie St.

Florida St played a tougher OOC (on paper) than Georgia, Alabama or Texas.

It's their just desert for being giddy about bringing the sips to play us again.

Colorado and Notre Dame are Co National Champions and USC gets the AP National champ

Vegas odds seem to support FSU getting shut out of the CFP. I have a hard time believing that would happen

Here is what I think the tie breaker has to be:
Michigan and Washington are the top 2 seeds.

The next two spots are between (Georgia, Alabama, Texas and Florida St)

The easiest way to determine who should be in is by comparing their OOC schedule.

Texas: Alabama, Rice, Wyoming
Alabama: Texas, Middle Tennesee St, South Florida, Chattanooga
Georgia: Georgia Tech, Ball St, Tennesee Martin, Alabama-Birmingham
Florida St: North Alabama, Southern Mississippi, LSU, Florida

Im sorry. It would be highway robbery for Florida St to play the toughest OOC, go undefeated and not make the CFP because of inherent SEC bias.

The 4th Spot should come down to Georgia, Alabama or Texas, and I think you have to go with Alabama because they have the best win and Texas has the worst loss.

Oregon was favored by 9 over Washington and the Huskies still beat them.
