Have you guys watched us play? We are sloppy and make huge mistakes that teams like Alabama will make you pay for. Their offense has also been steadily improving and their name is Alabama. I thought it might actually be -9 or -10

I get what you're saying but they look vulnerable relative to what they have been .

No team is mistake free, but their last two games are stronger than our last two going into this matchup and they have earned the benefit of the doubt while A&M has destroyed the benefit of the doubt over the last two years

I've never been more confident we can beat bama than I am today. I believe KJ is a better version of Milroe, and our front 7 made KJ look like a scared puppy. Granted, bama will have a better offensive line, but they're still far from their normal dominance at all positions along the o-line. We can disrupt Milroe.

We almost beat them last yr and they had a tremendous QB. They don't have a good QB this year. We are better than last year. Time is ripe for upset.

We can hope, but we have seen nothing to suggest we are as good as or better than Alabama. What we have seen suggests we don't suck like last year and Alabama is not as dominant as years past. That does NOT mean we are near as good as them.

Of course we could win. We beat them in 2021 when they were far better. But acting like we are the better team? The evidence doesn't point to that.

If you watched the last 2-3 games, this game should be really close. Bama isn't dominant like the past years and it is at Kyle field. IMO it should probably be a pick em

Lines are not created by the betting public.

As we have seen, generally lines move because a large majority of money has been placed on one side of a single bet. The sportsbooks don't like this because if all those bets win, they will lose money. When the sportsbook wants to "balance the books" it will move the line to make that side of the bet more attractive.

The only reason to pay attention to lines is if you have a stake in the house.

Lines are created based on what they predict the public will bet, if they set a line and the public is all betting one way they will adjust the line.

If a line opens at 7 then moves down to 2 or 3 that means they got the line wrong when it opened and the public made them adjust

The adjustment is solely to balance the bets so they can safely take down the vig. They're guessing not who will win but how the crowd will split between the two positions. Remember half points merely guarantee there isn't a push because they still have to take action and refund it.

The notion gambling is a productive economic activity is mostly false. It might have some secondary effects but the primary is an exchange of money with no delivered true utility other than state-provided education and recovery programs.

I know our society thinks discussing things in these terms is moralizing, but notice I'm just discussing the economic impact and notional contributions to GDP. Gambling is very much a loser's bet in every sense of the word loser.

Yes he did but Jimbo was calling plays and not managing the clock. We were on the 2 yard line with 5 seconds left in the game and failed to score. If he had used our timeouts wisely we would have had 4 plays to win instead of one. We would be playing this game looking for 3 in a row over Bama which is unheard of. Bobby Petrino will be the difference this year. Aggies win.
