I feel like this is one of things where everyone will always feel like it's worse than it was after they graduated. I think part of it is a rite of passage where you heard ags older than you complain and so when it comes to be your time, you complain, too.
I also think it's probably deteriorated, too, just not as bad as many of you think. You are upset because the gameday experience is no longer tailored to your generation. Doesn't mean it sucks, just means you're getting a little older.
You can hate the DJ, but the students enjoy it, and that's the most important thing. "BaCk iN yOuR dAy" as a student, you didn't have to deal with a man in a red shirt stumbling out onto the field 12 times every game with a big sign that said 2:40. Those 150 second commercial breaks kill the atmosphere more than ANYTHING. Sucks the mojo out of the air and makes the stadium feel like a bite of water flavored ice cream. The DJ can play a lil bop and remind the students it's time to get back into it. There have been games over the years where I thought, "meh, DJ didn't have quite the songs for the right times," and there have been times I thought, "wow! He pressed every right button at the time to get the most out of the fans."
