Don't care what anyone says. He changed the culture of HBCU football for the better and paved the way for others to follow in his footsteps. Despite what so many think, no, Jackson St is not an end destination school for a talented coach like Prime.

What way did he pave for others to follow? Deion is a one off. Him going to JSU did not change the trajectory for HBCU football or any other college football.

Deion Sanders raised the profile HBCU football programs by taking a Coaching job and bringing in top HS talent. He laid a template for future Coaches and HS players to follow in my opinion. There is an interview with Travis Hunter, 5 star recruit, that does a better job of explaining his impact on young men.

HBCUs are an important part of our colleges and universities across the USA. It is nice to see the football programs getting some much needed exposure, even from a self-promoting sports icon like Primetime.

Years ago Colorado offered just about everything to Tom Osbourne to Coach the Buffs. As he told the story he went down there and interviewed all the football players and ask them why they came to Colorado. Not one said it was to play football. He left because he knew all his players were at Nebraska to play football.

Remains to be seen if he had a lasting impact. But he proved it is possible to recruit to a HBCU in the current climate.

Didn't they win a AP national championship in 1990? Not sure what you are implying, maybe you can elaborate.

I do think in today's NCAA with NIL and the transfer portal, Sanders will bring in the talent. Looks like he is assembling a good staff. I like what Jimbo is doing, because it will have some staying power, but "culture change" takes time and lord knows the Zoo wants a MNC like yesterday. Let's see what happens in 3 years. If he does have success, just wait until Florida State backs up the Brinks truck and Deion will be gone. Hopefully the cupboard won't be bare and one of his assistants can take over.

Georgia tech also won a national title in the early 90's. And Osborne interviewed with Colorado in the 70's.

I don't think there will be any middle ground with Deion. This will either be wildly successful, whatever that looks like or it will be a colossal failure.

Saying things like here's your starting QB (my son) and your starting safety (my other son) didn't make the trip because I'm mad at him along with the luggage comment point to a clown show, but we will see.

Sanders won't be happy until he's in the NFL Hall of Fame as a Coach. Nothing wrong with that.

Deion won't stay there more than 2 or 3 years and then move on to something else.
