The amount of emphasis A&M enables yell leaders to have in the media for our football game needs to change. They are a liability more often than not.
Tired of seeing cringe yell leader **** blasted out on tv and social media week after week after week.
Yell leaders need to continue doing what they do best. Lead yells.
At some point over the last 15 years, it's turned into a look at me fest. Tired of it. Flame awayTexas A&M might be the cringiest university ever pic.twitter.com/YNq30ipz9p

Who cares what FSU thinks or anyone else for that matter. We should NEVER apologize for who we are.
Facilities have been a big thing for much longer than 10 years. RC was begging for better facilities for years before he was let go.RoadkillBBQ said:Funny thing is facilities didn't become a big thing up until about 10 years ago when Oregon and Phil Knight made that change. The point is, it's a widespread perception whether deserved or not. Do you not think this could have any affect on recruiting whatsoever? Oh here we go with the "it effects recruiting" argument. Been hearing that one for years, yet we continue to recruit at a very high level.
You know what effects recruiting? Winning, losing, coaching and facilities.
Nah, nothing ever changes. Just keep doing the same old thing. But don't complain if you get the same old result.
Students waving dildos is a recruiting plus? It sure hasn't hurt the sips recruiting.RoadkillBBQ said:So the possible perception recruits might have isn't important? After all they are "anyone else".BLSD said:Ghost of Bisbee said:

I'd troll the Hell outa the Horns if I was a social media user and had this ammo. Don't think for a minute they don't have fans that won't. Or any other team for that matter. Look at the gangbang that resulted when Saban opened his pie hole about Jimbo buying his class. Damn near everyone sided with that little ***** leprechaun.

You realize college station isn't exactly a paradise in the middle of Texas. Horns have the luxury of living in Austin which is enticing to young adults. We need every benefit we can get and have zero negative perception
College Station is a great place for an 18 year old kid. Austin is fine too.
None of this matters. AT ALL
First of all, Arch Manning is overrated. Second, we never went after him. I'm sure Jimbo didn't want any part of that family trying to meddle in our program. I think the Manning family picked tu because they think it will be the easiest path for Arch being able to be the starter. They know that tu is worried about being "back" and will do anything for more attention. The Manning's will be able to call the shots at tu more than any other school. Wouldn't be able to do that with Kirby or Saban.gordo6 said:
Tell that to Archie manning, austin is hip and upcoming. College station isn't. It's not that hard to understand

I didn't say make it like all the other ones
So many are quick to think
"THEY WANNA TAKE YELL LEADERS AWAY GTFO"
that isn't the case. They should continue doing the job they signed up to do
What they need to change is how they're being used as an extension of A&M in the media outside of their yell leader duties
Its a lose-lose for all of us. The world isn't laughing with us they're laughing at us
Who gives a **** if they're laughing or not? Like seriously. This sounds like a personal problem where you are insecure in who you are.
So many here clearly don't know how to build a brand or business. Stick to what you know.

Wanna know how I know you're a dewsh? Because you allow your life to be influenced & affected by what happens on social media. We all know social media is a plague on the world, and yet you still abide by it. A&M isn't for everyone. That's by design. We'll never be loved by everyone, and that's ok. Get off social media and be a man.
I hope nobody listens to you.
This is correct. It was always kind of lame, but Midnight Yell was still always fun in spite of it. You get to go in the stadium when there is no game, and you do the yells with thousands of other Ags. Its fun, but the media will always focus on the most awkward part of it because that gets click.Showstopper said:
I don't know why you guys think yell stories not making a lot of sense is new. I remember a joke spot with some of my friends was when someone would tell a story that didn't really hit or make sense, someone would say, "And that's just what we are gonna do to them Aggies!" And I didn't get the sense that yell stories being kind of dumb and not making sense was exactly new in the 90's. I think the only difference from now and 15+ years ago is everyone having smartphones that record video and us televising on the web something that really isn't that much fun unless you are a little bit lit.
