Apparently couldn't "coach up" skills and tu's recruit rankings were always suspect whether a 4 or 5* was "in fact" a 3 or 4* The man wasn't much of a "game day" coach either. Not bad, but not superior either. His REAL talent was placating alumni and donors. Coach Smoozer!

Oh, I know Coach Butterteach can recruit and does a damn good job of it. However, he crashed and burned at the end of TU and these studs have a better future elsewhere IMHO.

Yeah, that would be amazing in the SEC, but the reality is Mack was in an average league and with annual recruiting classes that averaged #3 nationally, only managed three conference championships in 15 years or so. That's pretty not-so-impressive.

The media is hyping up something REALLY big for A&M this afternoon. Something that I'm guessing no one is expecting.

Meanwhile Georgia mods think that Kamari Wilson is headed elsewhere, which is shocking considering he was supposed to be a lock to Athens.

That leaves UF and A&M for Wilson. He was at UF recently, so maybe that's where you put your money. But shoot, you have to wonder if this is shaping up to be a classic Jimbo stunner. Just something to watch.

This post reminded me to go look at the actual TexAgs Recruiting Board, WTF happened, it used to get a lot of traffic back when I cared more about recruiting years ago.
