I'd say that Madubuike kid turned out alright.

But yeah it seems like most of Summy's success stories were lower ranked HS players (Trayveon, Erik McCoy, Donovan Wilson, Josh Reynolds etc)

Think Elko can come up with a Bear scheme that will use 5 D-linemen? Then if they complete a few first downs replace the whole rotation with the equally talented "backups". We would eat Olines alive for the foreseeable future with the kind of recruits we're looking to get.

Unless the coaching staff or an aggie recruiting reporter directly betrayed his wishes to keep it quiet there are so many people in the know it's pretty unreasonable to be upset at this. Look everyone knew he visited saw his instagram etc. I get he doesn't like the secret getting out and it likely is causing other schools to really pressure him. He wants to wait for his moment which I get, but that's pretty hard to do in today's environment without being very deceptive to everyone involved.

Lol not at all, and I don't care about stars. I'm not running off to a kid who quit on his team in HS. He's talented and the best burner but also a diva, and I could see him making a rash decision like this

Just listened to an interview with Anthony Lucas. WOW He's a well spoken recruit who really has done his homework on his next destination. His decision won't be a result of twitter, other social media pressure, or NIL. He knows what he's looking for in terms of a great team/position coaches and the opportunity for a great education.

I hope he chooses to become a Fightin Texas Aggie. I bet he'll be a hell of a player and a good student ambassador as well.

The addition of Ohrstrom moves the Ags up to #5 in the national rankings. Just to show how awesome this class is so far:

texas sits 2 spots below A&M with 5 more commits
Oregon sits 4 spots below A&M with 3 more commits

Notre Dame and Penn State sit BARELY above the Ags, but they have 5 more commits, and 8 more commits than A&M respectively.

A&M, UGA, Bama, and Ohio State will most likely be the 4 schools to fight it out for the #1 recruiting class. I think the winner will be one of the first three.

I get that none of this really matters but Ohrstrom's reclassification fall is ridiculous. He went from a .9335 to .9042. That is an insane drop that I don't understand. His commitment actually hurt our recruiting average which it shouldn't have. Like I said, I know it doesn't matter but it is a bit odd.

I'd stop wringing hands over the #4 class vs the #1 etc. We know what types of players we have committed. Jimbo has shown he has a solid hit rate on the "lower" rates guys as well.

It makes sense to me. Now he's being compared to players who are another year older. Older players tend to be bigger, faster, and stronger. It's the way muscle development works at that age.

Pretty sure same thing happened to Donnell Harris when he reclassed, no big deal
