If we can say two...

Bucky Richardson - A QB that ran and hit like a RB

Leeland McElroy - Fast and shifty, cut on a dime, like watching a CGI superhero movie sometimes

Outside of the obvious like JFF, Evans, Kirk and Myles Garrett I would say Luke Joeckel and Jake Matthews. Those guys were outstanding tackles.

George Woodard. One coach was asked how do you prepare your team against him...."We put a coke machine on a skateboard, push it down a hill, and tell our defense to go tackle it". Saw a defensive pack catch up to him on a long run and jump on his back to try to take him down- big George just carried him the last six or seven yards into the end zone with him.

Billy Cannon on defense.
Mike Whitwell on offense. He was a WR and a high jumper. Played intramural basketball against him and that fella could JUMP and SLAM. Wonder how he'd compare to Demond Demas ?

Tate Pittman
Jorrie Adams
DJ Davis

And of course, Gremon Coffman.

I heard Pittman thought he was fun to watch OFF the field.

But when I was a student? Bucky

We'll probably have to wait another 10 years for a great one.

The most exciting plays I remember are George Woodward and his long distance screen pass TD's.

Shame that his football career was cut so short.

Dat! What a great Aggie and football player! Wish there were a few more of him around.

Don't forget that we won the Big 12 Championship in 98!

Larry Fitzgerald was the best player I saw play in my time as a student... sadly he played for Pitt

Haha I hate that I laughed out loud at that

Yea... years later I toured Heinz field and in the locker room Pitt used is a huge picture of Fitzgerald pulling one down over one of our DBs...

Reggie. Seems like there were a lot of "Reggie!" and "Let him play!" chants. He was insanely fast.

Yea I felt bad for Mark Ferris (Farris?)... but then I learned about the backup always being the most popular player in the team

Johnny Manziel for sure. 2012 was my senior year so it was really cool to see him on my way out of school.

Yep. Good answer. (I'm an "80.)

My "just one person" is Woodard. I don't think he was ever actually tackled for a loss. And talking to him at Cain Hall or around campus, he was always a genuinely nice guy.

Mike Mosley was really exciting to watch - man, could he run.

As much as I'd like to say Bucky was the most exciting player during my time at A&M,

I cannot describe the feeling in the air when it was 3rd down, and John Roper beat his man coming around from the poor QB's blind side. (Remember, this was before the targeting rule)

The entire defense from 1990 to 1993. I do believe every starter eventually ended up on a NFL roster.

Class of 87, so on offense, Kevin Murray and Shea Walker, with Rod Bernstein a close second. The 31-30 comeback over Baylor after spotting them 17-0 was an amazing game to witness. On defensive, John Roper and Johnny Holland destroyed everyone.
