First job after college...hmm...not counting the two jobs I was working my last year in college, the very first job was a contract effort with a Redlands, CA attorney automating his office onto a floppy-based customer and matter management system. I recommended an upgrade to a fixed disk which he rejected based on already sunk cost.

I onboarded every single client/matter in two weeks which he viewed as above and beyond his original ask and offered to provide me a glowing reference.

Was hired to design Freebirds restaurants a year before graduation. Stuck with it for 13 years.

The United States Air Force. They sent me to Gunter AFS in Montgomery. Alabama. My Directorate Chief was a Good Ag, Class of '63. I can still see that cubicle in my mind.

28 months later, I was in Navigator Training at Mather AFB in California.

Thank God my eyesight got magically better.
