That video is EXACTLY the kind of coach we need! Jimbo is a ball coach. And he is better in the recruits homes than just about anybody.

I'll be very disappointed if we spend all that money for essentially the same thing we already have.
Yes, we do know many of the details of the whole ordeal. So did Jimbo. They've been published in the New York Times and elsewhere, stop sticking your head in the sand. It wasn't that the police COULDN'T do anything - they intentionally botched the investigation. Jimbo 'was supposed to' / should have kicked him off the team. Jimbo apologists on this board act like 'Jimbo was helpless to do anything.' He wasn't. He (and his apologists here) hide behind the corrupt system's decision to let it go, but even if they were right that it 'couldn't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt' (they weren't) for purposes of a criminal trial, Jimbo still wasn't incapable of kicking him off the team for 'more likely than not' violating university conduct policy, regardless of what the state, the school, or anyone else did.LakeSurfinAg08 said:HoustonAg2106 said:brisket-n-beer said:HoustonAg2106 said:
Jimbo isn't coming here anyway so it doesn't matter...although I personally think it wilould be great if he did
And you are okay with him turning a blind eye to rape? If we hire him, we aren't any better than Baylor.
You guys are ridiculous, how exactly did he turn a blind eye to rape? He waited for the results of the investigation and the results say that there was not enough evidence and no charges were brought
THIS. No one on this board knows any of the details of that whole ordeal. If the Tallahasse police couldn't do anything, probably because they covered it up, what was Jimbo supposed to do?

There was NO investigation. Not a real one, anyway.

Laughable that some people hold players to high moral standards. 90% of FBS belongs in a warehouse moving mattresses after high school rather than institutes of higher learning. Does no else remember these "students" in your entry level classes? There is a reason you didn't have classes with them past freshman year.
Not saying we shouldn't hold players accountable, but there is a high percentage chance they will commit crimes at an above average rate.
Stealing crabs and shouting obscenities means absolutely nothing to me. Rape does, but no one will ever 100% prove it...still seems odd that a guy of his earning potential had to rape a girl to 'get some' ... and to only rape one girl seems odd. Look no further than Hollywood to see that rarely do rapists only rape once.
