If that's the case, that we are going to ignore his current coaching results and only focus on the past, then why not focus on Les Miles or even Mack Brown? They both have natties, impressive overall records and without the controversy.

I would absolutely support going after Miles.... however Mack has been out of coaching since 2013. That's the big difference

I'm not sure bringing up Mack and Les makes the point I think you're trying to make.


Mack is 66 and hasn't coached in what, 5 years? I'd support hiring him if this was 15 years ago.

You could certainly do worse than Les Miles and I'd be fine with that hire.

But LSU was kind of on a slow downwards trajectory for a decade. And we all know it was becoming an adventure every Saturday for LSU...they never quite fully put it together like FSU normally has under Fisher. Hence, give me Fisher ahead of Les.

I'm no Jimbo pumper, but harping on his results this season is ridiculous. Dude can coach, recruit and win. FSU has been a powerhouse. The sleazy factor is another matter. That should be the only reason to argue against him.

3 years later, and am more convinced than ever that this part of Title IX is insane. Coaches and schools should have absolutely zero to do with anything involving sexual assault. That doesn't make Art Briles not a POS, but he should never have been put in the position to begin with.

Girls need to go to the police, not their sexual partners coaches to report claims of sexual assault or violence.

If something like the Tallahassee PD or Waco PD coverups happen, then you address that with the city, not the school that just happens to be in that city.
