I do not condone anyone sending our coach and his family a letter like that. I was the biggest supporter of Sumlin until last Sunday when I knew he would never win big here. I also didn't state it mattered if it was an Aggie or not. I simply questioned if it was racist if a black man sent this? Does that change the narritive or not? I don't know what color of skin sent this but I hope they find out and the association with the school... Two your point if one black player says "Next play I'm going to murder your ass xxxxa" that would also be a threat.

Aggies are taking this personal because we are a proud people who stand for what is right. If it's an Aggie, kick them out of school or ban them from the University campus and be done with it.

Also, if you don't think she asked Kevin Sumlin if it was ok to post this on social media then you are kidding yourself. You don't post something harming the relationship between your husband and employer without running it by them first.

He is done and knows it. Not a smart way to exit especially having a daughter still in school there.

who cares, it's a ****ty message regardless of the race of the sender. And please tell me you're not one of those "black people can say that word why aren't they racist" types. The message is terrible and the sender should be outed. Hopefully this answers your question and you'll stop posting the same tired question.

Nope I'm not like that at all. But this portrays white A&M fans in a bad light. It absolutely matter... This would not have made national news if the sender is another race besides white. I am just saying I would let the process play out before playing the race card. We may never know who the sender is but hopefully we find out. This country needs unity. There has been a lot of bull**** in the news going on and I want people to stop and work together. That starts with the media portraying falsehoods without facts and stating them like they are.

I think the letter is a fake. Who sent it? Could be someone who hates TAMU or could gain from our image being tarnished

It could be a BLM type who wants to create more racial disharmony, embellishing their narrative, it isnt like that hasnt been done to death: http://scout.com/college/central-michigan/Board/104031/Contents/Post-Election-quotRacismquot-Hoaxes-54637022

It looks to be a females handwriting. How many females go around threatening a family over a football game?

It wouldnt be the first time someone faked something to make others feel sorry for them.

ANYONE could have written this- Im doubtful it was an Aggie. If it was- shame on you- reprehensible.

In todays Social media world- cowardly acts and hoaxes like these are a weapon ANYONE can use

In real life- how many of us let our children open our mail?
How many of us get mail where stamps arent postmarked?
That seems very suspicious

Im calling BS

Just read that entire tweet thread. I have never seen a media personality just tell people to google it themselves.

I guess the reporter's confirmation came from Mrs. Sumlin directly because the victim of the stalking is not identified in the police report provided.

That was kinda funny:

Reader: I don't see a link or proof
Reporter: Call the police department
Reader: WTF?

Maybe I am misunderstanding but the dates don't seem to match up? The dates are listed as the harassment happening from feb to Nov 2018 when the letter was sent in September 2017.

If that article is about him as well, then it's a different guy as the guy in the article was in high school While Reagan was President. Someone graduating from college in 83 never overlapped with Reagan while in HS.

The question is, is Charlene using the intitials "C.F." in the stalking charge? I can certainly see a millionaire coach's wife wanting to use an alias in a stalking case, but why in the hell would she give this info to twitter dork that wants to spread the info.

I thought the letter was received at the Sumlin's house while residing in Brazos County? If that's the case, they wouldn't charge it in Harris County. Also, the dates are wrong. This whole thing appears to be BS.

It's possible the behavior changed from just writing a nasty letter to full on stalking a little later. I have no idea, but the letter itself could have been before the behavior which crossed the line legally for which the police are charging him.

Not a legal expert, but the guy lives in Houston. What if he sent the letter from there?

I know you were being sarcastic and not seriously suggesting to hang him. I was wondering if you were suggesting he was being targeted for being a Reagan fan in the state of Texas. That's probably 75 percent of the population.

One of the documents in the case mentions this Robin Chiswell person has a restraining order against him for both the Houston Country Club (where the original letter was mailed from) and Houston Museum of Fine Arts.

It is possible the sender kept generating letters even after the first one that was reported on.

The article written in 2004 stated that Chiswell received a response from then-candidate Reagan when 28 years earlier when Chiswell was 18. That would make it 1976, a year in which Reagan challenged Ford for the GOP nomination. So that makes sense.

So if the same guy went on to get a BBA from t.u.in 1983, then that would make him about 24 when that degree was awarded, which is not beyond the realm of possibility,

Not saying they're the same Robin Chiswells, but it is possible based on the article, court docs, and the existence of a guy with the same name getting a degree in '83 - which would make it a case of a sip just trying to stir the TAMU pot to make us look like racists.

How do you prove that? Postmark? Prosecutors love the "easy way" and the easy way in this case is to charge where the threats were received.

I'm not a prosecutor, but this just strikes me as odd. Then again, it is wrong to assume they are related to the letter that CS posted as opposed to subsequent behavior.

Another weird variable is KS taking the job in AZ in Jan of 18, yet the dates of the information are feb 2018. Did he move? Did he not? Did his family.

Not pretending to know anything. Just seems weird.
