I couldn't care less what other schools do. Why should I?
quote:A statue to celebrate a 3rd place finish in the SEC West and a Cotton Bowl Win.....are you serious? JDC has a statue at Kyle, so give Manziel one as well being that he also won the Heisman. But saying he did more for A&M football than anyone else in the last 50 years is a bit of a stretch. On the field he had a 20-6 record in 2 seasons, Pulling had only 6 losses in 4 seasons. Manziel beat Alabama, McKown beat Nebraska...Some of yalls love fest with Johnny Manziel is a bit extreme.
I think a statue celebrating the 2012 season would be appropriate, featuring Johnny Manziel and Luke Joeckel. This picture of Joeckel and Pat Lewis hoisting Johnny into the air after a TD would make a cool statue:

The NFL is irrelevant. He did enough at A&M to deserver a statue. Heismann?

Put a crack rock on Johnny, to bring me some ****s

Kid doesn't deserve a statue. . . yet.
Too much of a cluster **** in the NFL.

Win Heisman = Get Statue.
quote:CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FIND THE THREAD THAT INCLUDED ALL THE PHOTOSHOPPED MOCKERIES OF THAT STATUE???
Just don't commission the "artist" who created the 12th man statue!

quote:TAMU has found a local sculptor who depicts motion very well in his work. Already he has done a couple of pieces on campus (12th man sculpture is not one of them, you will be happy to know.)

No, this is what the JFF statue needs to be
quote:yes McCown was the starting QB and he beat Nebraska, I was there too chief. Now did he single handedly beat Nebraska, no...but where in my post did I say that? Point is there have been many starting QB's with big wins at A&M, Manziel is not the only one. Manziel doesn't beat bama without Everett's pick. NS Pullig and McCown didnt win a Heisman, that's why I said Manziel won a Heisman so if you want to give him a statue for THAT, give it to him.quote:McCown beat Nebraska?quote:A statue to celebrate a 3rd place finish in the SEC West and a Cotton Bowl Win.....are you serious? PASSING: Texas A&M-R Mccown 2-8-1-93.
I'm going to go ahead and say No. Texas A&M's Defense and Hall & Toombs beat Nebraska. I was there.
Two for Eight passing and you are championing McCown as the one that beat NU? That's TWO completions in a game. Johnny completed 2 passes in the same minute in a game.
Pullig had a Defense to help him. He also TIED SMU.
And, Pullig and McCown didn't win the Heisman.

For what Johnny accomplished at A&M, he should be defended down to his last snap !

Looks like his last snap ever was over a month ago. We can probably stop defending him now.
