Not allowed to post material between boards. However, I can say that everyone is in exactly the same boat - no one on Premium, Varsity, Websider, etc. knows anything. If they do, it's not being posted.

This is fantastic entertainment though - we should do this every year between our last game and bowl game!

Sometimes...when the stars align just right...it's...............just a constellation.

Other times...when the stars align just right...it's.............a disaster.

And then there are the times when the stars align just right...it's.......an omen.

If Spurrier is in fact a done deal (and that's the premise I'm working off of), It's much better to wait to make the announcement. Making it now does little - slow news cycle, little buzz around college football, and most importantly, it undermines Spav's credibility with the players going into a bowl game. You don't undercut you commander 3 weeks before going into battle while he's preparing the troops. You let him save face, rally the troops, and go into it swinging.

Waiting until bowl time gets you huge press coverage all day, doesn't undermine Spav leading up to it, and could fulfill any legal agreements on Spurrier's end with his contract. I could also see Rojo's friend assuming announcing during the SECCG for PR buzz when in fact, the plan could have been to announce during the bowl game for PR buzz and the reasons above.
