Same here, this makes no sense with younger more innovative OC's in the coach world.

didn't Spurrier comment when he resigned that he "wasn't retiring." Indicating an intent or at least leaving the door open to coaching again? It would really be the Sumlin Spurier relationship that brought him though. He could certainly get another head coaching job...though he may want to shed a portion of the head coach responsibility.

If Sumlin offered Spav a job, and Spav refused there is nothing further to discuss.

Sumlin better forget about having friends in this job, that includes Spav, McKinney, etc.

3 - 10 pts/game with our athletes is insane and it needs to be fixed right now!

Old Ball Coach is not going to be the fugging OC. Jesus Christ people. The next person posting after me has about as good of a chance to be the OC as OBC does.

Spav isn't open to a demotion...

Best part of the whole prediction

Props to Rojo for sailing an offseason troll right through the regular season.

Shame on you overly credulous zoocolytes for actually believing it.

Has anyone challenged Rojo to a poop slap yet? If he's so sure about this, the he shouldn't have a problem with this.

Has spurrier been calling plays? Has USCe had a good offense in the last 10 yrs? I'm failing to see the greatness of this hire

It actually makes sense.

When has Spurrier had 5 star quarterbacks to work with since his days at Florida?

He loves to compete just like KK. He's a winner (Heisman to boot).

I see no reason for Rojo to make this up. What's the payoff?

If he's been wrong in the past, I believe he really believed what he was saying and either got bad information or someone backed out at the last minute.

Why would he want to laugh his ass off at fellow Aggies who simply took him at his word? What is the joy in that?

The other side of the coin is that Rojo could be delusional. That doesn't seem to fit either.

No, I'm in. This is just the ballsy move that might make me get back on the Sumlin train because I am off until I see him do something without Johnny (other than hire Chavis which was a home run but Sumlin's the offensive guru so he needs to prove it).

OH and that Elizabeth Hurley head turn .... irresistible. She's like 50 now and still hawt.

lol you mean like the one we have a now? A wunderkind that has worked under Gus Malzahn, Chad Morris, Mike Gundy, Dana Holgerson and Kevin Sumlin. A group renowned as innovators in some of the most successful offenses we've ever seen in college football?

I'm along for the ride because there really isn't a good reason not to believe what he says yet. He was right last year with sources and he could potentially be right again. I am saving my judgment until after the fact. Definitely beats the other theory that Spav is simply not getting fired since he hasn't yet.
There is plenty of good reason not to believe what he says. The best reason of all is it's not going to happen.

We all had a good laugh at the sips when they were convinced they were getting Saban. That was much, much likelier to actually happen then this.

Seriously, this is the kind of thing that eveyone else makes fun of the zoo for. You really have to be completely delusional to think Spurrier is going to be our OC. It. Will. Not. Happen. Ever.

That doesn't mean we can't land a quality OC, it means that a 70 year old who has spent the last 3 decades as a Head Coach, who loves playing golf, and just retired, isn't going to come waste his retirement years on a career demotion.

I still think there's a good chance we have a new OC next year. There is just zero it's going to be the OBC.

Now back your regular scheduled zoolusionals.

No reason for Rojo to double-down unless it's true. Moreover, if Spav thinks he has any leverage by fighting a demotion, he is dumber than I thought. Spav needs to happily take whatever he can get; he is in no position to be demanding or arrogant. KS may genuinely be trying to help Spav find a landing spot, but patience has its limit.

It's actually hilarious seeing y'all keep telling yourself that.

There are tons of reasons for him to keep trolling you. Every single one of you who falls for it and gives him the attention he is craving is a reason. The Zoo, as it turns out, is chock full of reasons. And nuts. The zoo is chock full of that, too.

Agree with a minor detail. I saw a story where he corrected someone on that. It's not OBC it's HBC, the Head Ball Coach.

We have a HC. The HBC ain't coming here to be the OC.
