There is a delay in naming Steve Spurrier as the new OC. But, other than that, everything is still a go. My friends in low places do not know the reason for the delay -- only that it is a delay, and Spurrier will be announced in a timely manner.

Delays usually signal a deal is not done. Is that the case here?

The real question, assuming rojo isn't totally full of ****, is will Spurrier be named before bowl practice starts?

It would be nice to have an OC for the bowl game.

This is my own personal opinion: I think the delay is that no one wants Spavital, that Spavital isn't open to a demotion back to QB coach even though it includes the opportunity to be mentored by two of the greatest OC minds (Sumlin and Spurrier), and that Sumlin is giving him more time to find a place to roost.

Again, this is my personal opinion. Very well could be wrong. As I posted -- my friends in low places do not know the reason for the delay.

The important point is that Spurrier is the new OC.
