For those who might have missed it, Spring ISD release:

"Korey McNeal a Spring High School football player was injured during the game against Waco Midway at Merrill Green Stadium, Bryan High School, on Friday, Nov. 28. Korey was transported to the University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin for medical care. We have been very concerned and are keeping Korey and his family in our thoughts and prayers. The district and Spring High School have kept in close touch with the family since the injury. A Korey McNeal Benevolent Fund has been established with the Spring ISD Education Foundation. Tax-deductible donations made to the foundation on his behalf should be designated for the Korey McNeal Benevolent Fund and mailed to the Spring ISD Education Foundation, 16717 Ella Blvd, Houston, Texas, 77090."

Just had dinner with Korey and his family at TIRR in Houston. Korey is an amazing young man and is in fantastic spirits. For what its worth, Kenric, his dad and the rest of the family are drawing their strength from Korey. I mentioned to him that there were a lot of Ags praying for him and I cannot begin to tell you what that meant to him and his family.

When I left tonight, I told him I was going to post on here and forward the thread to Kenric so that he could see how we are all keeping him in our T&P and encouraging his recovery. That being said, I ask all of you to take a minute and give this incredible young man a word of encouragement. I can assure you, he will read it and it will encourage him as he is encouraging his family.

No one can possibly understand the journey that this kid has ahead of him. Thankfully it seems he's got a great family and lots of friends to help him. Without that it's a pretty tough road; about as tough as it gets.
