Ole Miss and LSU are a very serious rivalry going back many years. The games of the late '50s through early '60s were some of the most intense collegiate games ever. LSU has pulled well ahead in the rivalry, but the hate is still there from both sides. The atmosphere last night was very much like old times. Ole Miss has wrecked LSU's seasons quite a few times. LSU had their turn last night.

Mississippi State and LSU, on the other hand, has never had near the fierceness of LSU and Ole Miss. The crowd just wasn't able to get into it earlier this season at Tiger Stadium. LSU fans thought MSU would present a challenge, but that an LSU victory was pretty much inevitable. Therefore, the intensity just wasn't there.

If the State program stays strong like it is this year, Tiger Stadium will be full and revved up for them in 2016.

A night game at LSU will always be crazier than a night game at Kyle. Alcohol + crazy Cajuns = insane environment.

Why are people acting like Kyle is quieter than a monastery? Being down 21-0 does that sometimes, but no excuse for the crowd to quiet down just because the team's in a hole. We've come back from 21 down before.

Were any of you at Bama '13 or Nebraska '10? Kyle was absolutely electric. Being in close games against good teams = loud, crazy atmosphere. The Nebraska game was very low scoring, much like Miss-LSU, and I'd bet that the crowd noise for the two games was comparable.

Bo also got his bell rung a couple of times last night.

Loud noises and concussions don't go well together.

Kyle used to be loud. Not sure what happened besides bad D. You would think 110,000 would crank it up but it was weak against Ole Miss. Very weak.
If they did a survey again Kyle would not be in Top 10.

Kyle hasn't been intimidating in a very long time and it is nothing compared to LSU's crowd. We're way too polite for that.

Bo already admitted that our fans were too nice before they even went to LSU; intimidation is much more than just noise.

Because we were down 21-0 in a blink. Enough with the self-loathing, you pathetic losers. We have a great atmosphere that stands up well against everyone in the nation, but also like everyone else - even the best, it's not going to be loud when our team is getting its **** pushed in. And that goes for Death Valley, Autzen, the Swamp, or anywhere else.

Agreed. Kyle Field Noise was average at best. Just like the team. That's ok. we'll make it up using WFF intro and maybe we shoot fireworks for every good play that happens during the game.

Hell, Jerryworld is loud this year because the team is playing good and winning. Amazing how a team that plays good (and wins) has fans that cheer loudly.

If we ever get a defense again Kyle Field will be up there with Death Valley. It doesn't seem likely that we field a decent defense any time soon though.

Prob because the LSU fan base behind his bench got in his head.. He was talking crap back and forth.. clearly it worked as he wasn't focused the entire 2nd half. During our game vs them we never even got a chance to talk crap

Let me guess....

You went to the LSU-TAMU game, which was in the daytime and a game that Tiger fans knew was a certain win.

That makes you an expert on the real Tiger Stadium, right?

The atmosphere for that TAMU game doesn't REMOTELY COMPARE to last Saturday night's game, which was against an ancient rival working on a perfect season and a game that LSU fans knew was going to be a real war.

Tiger Stadium last Saturday night was the REAL Tiger Stadium, which we haven't seen in a while. Tune in on 11/8, you'll see it again.

Better yet, get yourselves a team capable of big boy, big-time football and bring them undefeated to BR.

We'll show you a real stadium first hand.

A&M getting whipped is hardly a rare occurrence at Kyle Field.

Intimidating stadiums arguably start, and finish, with the quality of the home team's play, and then you can throw in the crowd in between.

I've seen a few great atmospheres at Kyle Field- occasionally we show up for a big game and the crowd is pretty wild.

At LSU, by all accounts, they do it in reverse- wild is the norm, with occasional duds here and there.
