On Texas A&M's Kyle Field compared to Tiger Stadium: "No comparison. No comparison (LSU is better).''

On playing at LSU: "I just think we didn't make the plays when we had to. It's a crazy atmosphere. This is the craziest place I've played. Actually, it (the noise) did factor (into third-down plays). Every SEC stadium, that's (noise) going to be a factor on third down.''

Yup. Being down 21-0 real quick will do that.

With the reputation LSU has and knowing that I was walking into Death Valley on a Saturday night in ****hole Louisiana I would find it far more intimidating than Kyle Field.

Our fans throw lemon chill lids, their fans throw whiskey bottles...

If we'd stop losing 2-3 f***ing games at home every damn season, people would respect it a little more.

Based on the number of SEC games A&M loses at Kyle it's no secret that Kyle is underwhelming.
Only Aggies toot Kyle's horn.
Miles home record is amazing. Fran, Sherman, Sumlin not so much.

So bo is an idiot who doesn't understand crowd dynamics in a blow out vs close game

Dr Lane that's true. The fans a really rude and intimidated Bo but the lsu team made it happen.

So why is it rated the #2 toughest environment (rated by FBS coaches) behind the Death Valley, which Gameday just posted yesterday? We aren't the only ones pumping it.

Shouldn't you be turning the ball over somewhere?

We had a few moments in the Ole Miss game when we were ready to explode but in those moments our team usually crapped the bed.

Great teams make for tough venues. Remember when playing at altitude in Boulder was such an advantage for the Buffs back in the early 90s? There is not more oxygen magically available now, they just suck.

If we had an a defense that could step up and make plays then the crowd would magically seen louder and Kyle would seem more intimidating.

we've built our reputation for what our stadium and 12th man was back in the late 80's to early 90's.

Seems an unfair comparison for Bo to make. A team that stays competitive throughout the game (much less halftime) has its fans engaged and loud creating a "better" gameday environment.

Nope.

It's because our defense sucks ass.

No, it's because when you get a capacity crowd of drunk Cajuns in Death Valley at night, they make a lot of noise. Same in Morgantown, only all of their couch burning fans get to keep their buzz going while inside the stadium.

Same reason soccer fans get so OOC. Drunk off of their collective asses.

Sad that our stadium reputation is based on events that happened 30+ years ago. Today Kyle is just a good place for SEC's powerhouse's to come and show off for TX recruits

We've become entitled and fickle. We get down and the fans leave while LSU was down but played a factor in the game. We are bad SEC fans for now, but it can get better. All we have to do is change our mindset.

We have only had one home conf game in new Kyle and we got down early.

Kind of ironic that the radio commentators in Mississippi were raving about how intimidating a place Kyle is.

Said the fans are so close to the field they can almost reach down and touch you and then the stadium goes straight up.

The only ingredient we need is some wins.

Capt America if LSU was down by 3 td's in the 4th quarter tiger stadium would be a graveyard. LSU was down by one score. Sure the fans stayed.

We've left early in every game this year, winning or losing. We need to stick around better, none of this "oh we need to get home, it's a long drive" BS.

TAMU has many legit traditions, however, winning big football games isn't one of them. LSU on the other hand is what makes Death Valley...Death Valley.

Team perfoance is the biggest factor, obviously. Death Valley wasn't too intimidating in the Hallman and Dinardo years.

But the other big difference I notice, even sitting in the cheap upper deck seats there, is that everyone yells. They have a much smaller student section, in fact most freshmen can't get tickets, yet the whole place is loud.

that place just gets rockin and excited, where just a portion of our 12th man, the students, really get into it. we are more of a wine and cheese crowd, similar to the folks in austin.

He is right. At the Ole Miss game, the two or three Ole Miss fans sitting behind me were louder than all the Ags in the section. You all talk like there were still fans in then north zone in the fourth quarter.

Why don't you ask mississippi state how loud the LSU stadium was when they were there?!

I bet it's a completely different story!!

Exactly, too many folks posting with zero reasoning skills. If LSU had our defense the place would have been empty in the third.

One factor that's not mentioned much is the difference between the nature of the crowd noise. At LSU, the corndogs scream at the top of their lungs; most of it obscenities and random shouts. At Kyle, the yelling is organized and in the lower octaves; "ohhh" versus "F**********************CK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" all game long.

There's a stark difference between the vocal ranges. Kyle's noise ends up being a constant drone whereas LSU sounds like a bomb going off; chaotic and uncontrolled. On the flip side, Kyle's noise rarely stops when the team's on defense (thanks to the student section) whereas you can actually shut up the corndogs from time to time.

I don't begrudge lsu for having a good gameday atmosphere. You get those coonasses lubed up AND give them something to get excited about and you get what you get.

So good of you to point this out to us all though. Very helpful.

If we'd beaten Ole Miss and ole miss beat LSU, Bo would've said Kyle is a tougher place to play.
