I got mine antiqued in Fall of 2012 and it has since faded ridiculously to looking like a dirty natural finish, but I think I am an exception.

I always liked antiqued better, but Aggie Ring is Aggie Ring

It's really just a matter of personal preference. That being said, antique is the correct answer.

They used to offer the Rose finish, which would "antique" quicker. Has a high contrast natural finish every time you clean it. Wouldn't change my selection if I could, but in sure everyone feels that way.
