Exactly. I despise AO and had very little sympathy when they were sued a few years back by tu. They skirt marketing rules on 100% of their in-house developed content. They do carry a lot of stuff that is licensed through collegiate licensing, but that's stuff they buy wholesale. Not one single piece of their in house stuff contains a licensing or trademark (that I've ever noticed). Their profit margins on that stuff are huge. Wearing that stuff gives the appearance of supporting the school without one cent actually going back to the school. All they're supporting is their bottom line, even with the selling of these pink shirts. Are they going to donate 100% of the profits from them? I doubt it, they might, but I'll wait to be proven wrong. Even if they do donate 100% of the pink shirt profits they're still going to be using it as a gimmick to get people in their doors to buy other stuff they'll make money on.
So by all means go buy a $10 t-shirt that say's I support Breast Cancer research/awareness and sleep better because $2 makes it someplace. Want to help? Just donate $5 on your own.
It's Kyle, wear Aggie gear. BTW, love it when the girls bball team does this. It's women doing it for the women. No profits made by the athletic dept.
