I was about to say that the test probably only has a few questions on it. They are usually similar to the study problems with an extra twist thrown in now and then.

And it isn't the prof who scheduled the exams late, the prof probably won't even be there. It is the MEEN dept. that scheduled the common exam.

Good luck. The problem is that some students relied on the posted test times in making their schedules work. If every student agrees, so be it. Otherwise, you guys are probably stuck.

Kinda like running in the NCAA Regional XC and missing our win against Arkansas in '87. ;]

I was faced with this issue twice while at A&M, first time I took a radio and headphones, carried them in plain view, and held up my ticket when I picked up my test from the prof. while looking very irritated. He allowed the headphones.

The second time the game was in Miami, and I had already invested quite a bit of $$$ in ticket to the game, flights, hotel, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale train pass, etc.

When I boarded the plane down in Houston, which was full of Ags traveling to Miami for the game bye the way, I received free stuff from the flight crew and people around me, when they heard I had skipped out on a test for the game.

[Un]fortunately all I ended up witnessing was the demise of Fran...

Try the Headphone thing, if that's a no go, work the numbers, see how much the test is really worth to your grade, then decide accordingly.

I had Childs last semester for 363. The first test is over coordinate transformations right? That one wasn't too bad, most of the class did pretty well. But I think it took me about an hour and a half.

Don't be an idiot...go to the test. Record the game. You're paying way too much not to do well when you can.

Its ok my professor wont let me out of my test either and it is my brothers first big 12 game to start for Oklahoma State!

The only university rule regarding times you can't hold night classes/tests is for Muster.

I really can't believe you want a prof to do something about a test over a TELEVISED game. It'd be one thing if it was at Kyle...in that case you would have basically already paid for it, and you'd have a case.

Quit whining, you're here to go to school, not to watch football. The Ags will still be playing when you get out.

Take the test, go home, watch second half. This doesn't sound that difficult.

You guys who are saying there's something wrong with him for questioning this are nothing but 2%ers. Bottom line. I would definitely find some way out of it. I'm trying to think if there's anything we can do to help. Is the prof on facebook? If you post his name a bunch of us Good Ags can message him about the priorities at our school. There's 6 other nights that same week that we don't have a football game. Pick one.
