Mine comes tomorrow. It is being delivered by Peleton not a 3rd party and will need to be moved about ten feet from the front door to its location.

If I recall, the delivery fee was like $250 and is mandatory. For that amount, no, I'm not tipping, and I normally tip pretty generously.

Mine was delivered in-home in September 2020 and no, I did not tip the delivery guys. I did offer them water, though.

Mine was delivered in August, and dropped off with no instructions. I found them online and put it together, but when I chatted with customer service online, they ended up reimbursing me. Part of the $250 charge is for them to set it up, according to them.

Admittedly I was in Zone 2 when I was supposed to be in Zone 1, and chased it in the last minute, but after the ****ty performance of the first rides this week, the punishment was deserved.

I feel like an idiot. A few months ago when my peloton got delivered I just jumped right into the rides and started doing my own little routine. Today, 94 rides in, I actually went back and did the peloton 101 adjustments to the bike seat height and handlebars. PR'd a 30 and didn't feel like I was struggling at all, even pushed it a little bit harder by my own standards.

All that to say this: when you get the bike, if you are a newb, don't skip Peloton 101

Proper bike fit is critical, but keep in mind, you will be continually adjusting your bike. At least I have.

Yea. I felt I could still adjust the bars a little bit but I had my seat WAY too low. It made a world of difference. Pedal strokes were a lot easier.

This is how I feel! My PR for a 60 min PZE is like 375. I am female, so that makes a difference, but these guys blow me out of the water when we do live rides together!

Output is heavily influenced by age, gender, body mass, and leg strength. Lighter people, and women in particular just aren't going to push as many Watts as larger and stronger people, particularly heavy muscular guys. Also, the calibrations between bikes can vary widely. So what is 100 watts to you may be 150 on somebody else's bike. The bikes hold their calibrations well, so 100 watts on your bike today will be the same 100 watts next month and likely next year. But comparing from bike to bike can be very much apples to oranges due to the wide range of initial calibrations the bikes come with. If you want a better metric to use for comparison, ignoring the possible difference in bike calibrations, use FTP in watts per kilogram of body weight, also known as power to weight ratio. That cancels out differences in body weight. However, the best person to compare against is yourself. Using power zone training and measuring improvements based on FTP is a better metric than total output, and you are only measuring improvement against yourself.

Too that point, this was a big step for me simply because it was a goal based on my bike, and is really all relative to my performance. Regardless of what your output is, just focus on individual progress. I don't know exactly what it is, but from when I started PZ training to now, my overall FTP has increased at least 30-40%. It is a system that works.

Guys Nitro Power did that same workout on my bike and only had 400kj output if that makes you feel better.

Also, don't be afraid of plateaus, even in PZ. Last challenge I was overtraining a bit, I think, and it was affecting my performance in some of the later rides.

This challenge I spaced my rides a little better, and just focused on my own development, and I've actually gotten stronger towards the end of this latest 8 week challenge (I've actually broken that 1000kj PR twice now since my last post about it--and the crazy part is, I felt like I had more in the tank at the end).

This PZ training is something else if you stick with it and make it work for you.

I've done two 60 minute rides back to back before (CDE climb rides), but never a straight up 90 minute ride. That was nuts! Burned the same amount of calories I consumed yesterday, basically, holy crap lol.
