I had just finished the 60 min version of the week 5 challenge when the power went out. For those of you doing the challenge, you know how much that would suck to lose that work.

I did a 60 minute today and cannot imagine it cutting near the end. How far were you in the workout? It logs the actual progress completed, so at least its not wholly lost.

No I finished. Was giving my goodbye high fives and pop. Had to do my stretch off my phone.

I almost did that ride yesterday but my wife wanted me to take care of a few items...during that time we lost water. I'm not riding until the shower works

Just finished this week's 60 minute challenge ride. Got on the bike as soon as the power came on and hoped it would stay on.

Best output ever but it kicked my butt. That was a tough ride. Toughest ride I've done. There was no way I could maintain the RPM's Matt was suggesting. I stayed in my zones but it was brutal.

I set a PR on it but only by a single peloton or whatever it's called. I felt kinda slimy by setting a PR by that little.

Same. Not gonna ride until I can shower. Not sure if I'm gonna try to stack rides and hope not to die or just do what I can and accept being a bad teammate for a week.

Get with your team lead. Ours emailed us today and said to let her know if we had issues getting the rides in. I have been fortunate to get power in fire and starts. I ride take a shower in the dark with residual hot water. Always have to try and find the positive I guess.

I have been lucky in having power the whole time but no internet. I would use my phone as a hot spot but since the internet provider for our entire neighborhood is down our cell service reliability has been complete crap and can barely even load images on webpages. No rides for me so far this week.

Had enough water pressure to shower. did a 60 min ride. water pressure gone. Sponge bath was very cold.

I had power Monday and got W5R1 done, but haven't had power the last two days, so I am now behind. Luckily, our gym is still closed, so I don't have to lead a spin class tonight and can ride the peloton if we still have power. Lets hope E(U)RCOT can keep it together through the next couple of days...

Just PR'd on W5R2 of our challenge, which was the 60 min MW PZ ride from 9/28/19. Holy effing *****..I hit 1,000kj or whatever the units are called for the first time ever in a 60 min ride, which has been a personal goal of mine for forever. But man all I could think of was how much it'd suck if the power cut out right as I put the hammer down to chase that PR towards the end lol.

He only pelotons when he's too tired from leg pressing 1400 weights or whatever the units are called

Its great to see this thread! I just bought my Peloton little less than a month ago. I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am still making my way through all the pages of this thread for tips and advice. I do have some questions, and apologies upfront as I'm sure my questions have been asked multiple times before in this space.

Weightsthe bike came with the 3lb weights. I want to get heavier onesany cheaper recommendations than the Peloton brand ones that fit in the rack behind the seat?

AdjustmentsI am constantly fiddling with the adjustments to find that sweet spot. I've watched a couple of videos on adjusting the bike. Curious if any of you have any tips on adjusting the bike.

Almost a year now. Wife and I did spin classes together before this (she used to teach at Golds gym). Easier on my joints than basketball lol.

Be proud of it! We're all chasing someone. Tbh I'm just trying to bring my power to weight ratio in line. I'm a bigger guy. My zones were basically the same as Wilpers' for a long time, but I'm heavier than him, so I knew I had/have room for improvement.

Got power yesterday and water today, so I hopped on and knocked out W5R1. 3 days left to do 4 rides. Planning to stack the 45 and 30 min PZE rides on Sunday. Paid the price for being a lazy bum the last 4 days.

Welcome! As far as weights, not sure if you want to go up in weights before trying a few of the workouts first! They get pretty gnarly from what I've seen (I haven't tried any personally).

Bike adjustments, I know there's a few tutorials on YouTube that are great, but honestly, my method was to put in some seat time in the "just ride" sessions and see what worked for me.

Agreed. With the amount of reps you'll be doing on the upper body workouts, 3 is plenty to start. You'll be doubling them up quite a bit as well.
