Sleep has been a CHALLENGE. Moreso this go round than the first for some reason. Finally starting to be less crazy.
I laughed when I saw my ride with Cody yesterday (45 min arms and intervals) would require 3 pound dumbbells. First ride that I have done to incorporate lifting, and I am thinking at the outset that is not enough weight.
Needless to say I was wrong. Holy sheet that got tough.

Alright Ags! IM IN!! got delivered Friday afternoon and did my first ride this AM. I have cycled since my days with the Aggie Bike Club back in the late 80's! Loved my first ride this AM. Looking forward to catching up with you guys but was a great start this AM! I'm 1990Ag and in both the #TexAgs and #TexasAggies

Ordered my bike 5/24. Delivery was set for this Saturday 7/18. Super psyched. Friday I get an email it is postponed. Email today says July 30 now.
Not sure how I get notification less than a day before delivery that it's postponed another 2 weeks.
Oh well, will just make it that much sweeter I suppose!

Crazy...we ordered 6-1 and it was dead on delivery day. Think it is dependent on location

I guess two week delays are the going rate for everything now.
There is another power zone challenge coming up (starts late August) that I encourage all to try who haven't. Might work for you , might not but it is motivating.

Just finished my virtual bike fitting with Tim Dougherty, purchased via Matt Wilpers website: https://mattwilpers.com/services/bike
I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH. It took every bit of an hour via FaceTime. Tim did an assessment off the bike where he had me do some drills so he could see how my hip and knees reacted to different movements and immediately diagnosed a few things that have been bugging me for years that I had never been able to verbalize.
After looking at my bike cleats and seeing me ride, he made a big adjustment to the cleat position that instantly made me feel more efficient through the bottom of my pedal stroke. By the end of the session we had dropped my seat position, moved my saddle back, and adjusted my handlebars and I ended up feeling SO MUCH BETTER. I never realized how quad dominant I was until he got me into a position where my hamstrings could fire more easily.
It's not cheap, I think $125 is the current price, but I can immediately tell it's going to pay off in the long haul.

I got a bike fit from Tad Hughes in Houston for my road bike a few years back and have been able to translate a lot of that to my position on the peloton. It is amazing what a difference it can make if you were in a non-optimal position on the bike. I think the wait for the Matt Wilpers online fit service is currently around a month or longer based on what people have been saying on the power zone pack facebook page.
