I like the bike plus. I like the swivel screen but even more so I like the upgraded resistance control and the ability to automatically adjust during classes.

As posted above, most Peloton accessories are overpriced. I used the $100 off that you get from using a friend's referral code for a mat and cleats to put on my own shoes.

Got a peloton a few weeks ago and just did ride 12 today.

Noticed if I'm in the top half of the #TexasAggies I'm in the top 1/3 or 1/4 of the total board. Keep it up Ags

Awesome! You liking it?

Yeah really enjoy it.

Works way better with my job schedule to have classes on demand and in the garage not a gym.

Does get annoying not being able to string days together due to work trips but otherwise it's legit

Agreed. I use the Peloton app on the road and tend to do Tread Bootcamps on the road.

Hopefully Peloton will still be in business for a while.

They're earnings are down and they're sitting on what has to be millions of dollars of inventory in Tread+'s in Houston alone.

They have a warehouse at 249 and BW8 and my neighbor's factory is right there in the same lot. He's seen the boxes of Tread+'s stacked up.

Until Peloton sells that product again, which has a huge margin and is in high demand, they'll suffer from the "Get Woke, Go Broke" syndrome. I just hope they don't wait til the very end to bring that product back; the result of some last ditch effort to stay afloat.

Another sorta dumb feature I really like are the challenges.

Did a scenic for the badge today that I also did about 3 weeks ago. Really nice to have a reason to go back to a random ride I tried out and see my 10K time drop from 20:50 to 19:40 in those 3 weeks

Would really like to get a Tread+ and would pay cash at this warehouse for a couple guys to load it into the back of my truck. It's ridiculous how a handful of irresponsible people have completely crippled this product line.

yeah it's a bit wild to me that peloton bore the brunt of people just being non-safety conscious

to be clear, this recent large drop has nothing to do with the Tread recall, which happened back in August. It's due to dwindling sales (even after they lowered the price on the basic bike) and slowing engagement.

They were never going to retain the pace of the orders that happened early in the pandemic during 2020. It is silly to make any meaningful speculation about their future based on comparing this years sales to last year. It would be like comparing june 2021 unemployment to june 2020 when everything was still **** down in most places.

I like the challenges too. I did all of the October cycling challenges and felt like a little kid who got a gold star every time a new badge popped up. Weirdly satisfying. Then I almost cried because I had a 40 day streak going and time got away from me a few days ago and I lost it.

Also, was one of you in Robin's 45 minute ride yesterday morning? I saw one other #texasaggies which is rare because I almost exclusively do on demand classes.

It wouldn't let me apply a code to this order. It said code not valid.

That, and the management is a little too woke, or progressive, or unable to understand that you can't protect people 100% of the time, but more than that, it's not the job of the cardio equipment company to protect the users. They're shooting themselves in the foot by restricting their most popular product and wondering why sales are down.

Ordered the bike+ because mrs Tex wanted the bigger, rotating screen and auto tensioner. Should deliver next Tuesday. Also ordered some cycling shoes as well.

If they are waiting until they come up with an idiot proof safety fix, it'll never come back to market. I work for manufacture of equipment only trained adults are supposed to use and our only options are colorful stickers. They need to add an optional ball guard to the rear (that doesn't present an even worse pinch point), slap a idiot sticker on the rear and get those things back on the streets.

I think my wife and I are going to get one. Do y'all use the Peloton shoes or did y'all get them for somewhere else.

I know I'll be using it more for recovery after running and for some cross training. Wife is looking to have mid-day options now that she is working from home.

My wife and I got the Peloton shoes, mainly because if you use a discount code,

like this one: NZX24N

You get a free $100 towards gear and we didn't want weights or anything so we got the shoes. Neither my wife or I have had any issues with them.

My wife and I already cycle but I opted to buy her the peloton shoes using the referral monies. I had an old set or Giro velcro road shoes I didn't really care for so I bought a set of Look cleats and repurposed them as my Peloton shoes.
The Peloton shoes are good quality and have features that you won't find in budget shoes. Shoes + cleats, I don't think you can beat their price after discount.

My wife just got into it after I got one a couple of months ago. We were able to find Shimano Roadbike shoes that are compatible with the Peleton pedals for $25 on Facebook Marketplace.

Ordered bike last night. They're bringing it to the house tomorrow.

Gonna have to figure out how to rearrange my workout schedule to get stuff in. Definitely gonna be using the core workouts and stretching/yoga frequently. I run 4 days and lift 2 days. Gonna maybe stack some rides on certain days and as part of the active recovery day.

I really like doing a 10-15min core class before a run. Check out the core for runners classes with Becs.

Ordering the Bike+ this week during their Black Friday sales. Since I'm military I'll get the essentials free.

Can you choose a delivery date?? I don't want it delivered for like 3 weeks.

Finally bit the bullet yesterday and ordered the Bike+. Since they were already having Black Friday deals, I wasn't able to get the military discount as well. Pretty lame but I'm still happy about the purchase. Can't wait to start riding when I get home!

I don't know if this is appropriate for this board or not but if you want to be friends, my handle is AggiePilot08!
