Didn't gain or lose. Happy I didn't gain, but more frustrated I didn't lose after eating healthy and working out multiple times last week. Officially my first plateau, and hopefully will break through it this week....

260 this week. Geez, I'm up and down. Guess I need to his more cardio and less weight-training this week.

33 year old 6'4 male

Starting weight: 260
Goal Weight: 235

So, since this post I've had a few big developments pop up - I'll be heading out on a deployment to Afghanistan later this year, but first will have a military professional development course in March that I need to drop a few inches for.

Revised Starting weight: 262
Current Weight: 254

Need to lose 2% body fat in the next month.

First day under 190
First day being down more than 10 lbs

POW!

Still have plenty more to lose, but always nice to feel like I'm "on schedule" and hitting milestones is always fun.

Nothing special. Just standard lifts at moderate weight.

Not to clog up the thread but I have a great workout I stole, maybe from here that does both. Let me know if you want it. Is it ok to post on this thread?

I wouldn't personally back off the weightlifting. Just switch it up and do more of a cardio type weightlifting than your standard "3 sets of 10 and sit around for a while". I lose plenty of weight doing a more intense lifting program where I'm not really resting much (think p90x type of program).

Yep. We're all working together here.

*** 2.1.16 *** weigh in

40 posters weighed in this week, losing a combined 52.4 pounds, or 0.45% of our collective body weight. That brings our grand total as a group to 360.2 (or 346.2 for "active" posters) We have now lost more weight than any one of us weighs individually.

To be "on track" to hit the 17 week goal, you would want to be at 23.5% to your goal, on average. 26 of us have reached that mark, with 8 more between 20-23.5%.

Like always, if someone hasn't weighed in 2 weeks in a row, I have hidden them, but can easily add back in.

I think the P90X workouts are great for losing weight. Basically it's just circuit training and a really good calorie burn. I found a program to grab the audio off the DVDs and put them on my iPod so I could do them at the gym. That also lets you go a little heavier if you want to swap out some of the pushups for bench presses on the chest workouts.

A combined 346.2 pounds lost so far by everyone listed. Great job Ags!

Lets kick some more a** this week!

Just as I thought. My loss last week was water weight from a stomach virus. I held pretty steady at 189. On vacation in FL now chances are I am up next week

No joke... this is where some of my weight loss efforts have been derailed in the past. It is possible to reward yourself for some hard work up to this point without falling back into bad habits. Gotta remind myself of that.

I'm not too concerned with gaining a lot of weight during the Super Bowl, but I can't lie, a big ass pizza sounds awesome right about now. There is a birthday in my immediate family this week so I am more concerned about eating out and birthday cake. I just have to make a smart decision when choosing my entree and how much cake I allow myself.

Wow, is P90X still around? I haven't seen them on the infomercial channels in a while lately. Haven't even seen Insanity or the new versions of those (the 30 minute versions). I actually do a faster-paced version of the standard 3 sets of 10 and rest a minute type of lifting currently. You're right, I probably do need to change it up and do something more weight-loss oriented.
bagger05
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I assume it's still around. Great program. The DVDs I have were bought maybe seven or so years ago.

I say either go light and fast like P90X or heavy and slow like Stronglifts or Rippetoe.
