260 this week. Geez, I'm up and down. Guess I need to his more cardio and less weight-training this week.
quote:So, since this post I've had a few big developments pop up - I'll be heading out on a deployment to Afghanistan later this year, but first will have a military professional development course in March that I need to drop a few inches for.
I'll get in on this, even if I am a little late:
33 year old 6'4 male
Starting weight: 260
Goal Weight: 235

Nothing special. Just standard lifts at moderate weight.

quote:I think the P90X workouts are great for losing weight. Basically it's just circuit training and a really good calorie burn. I found a program to grab the audio off the DVDs and put them on my iPod so I could do them at the gym. That also lets you go a little heavier if you want to swap out some of the pushups for bench presses on the chest workouts.quote:I wouldn't personally back off the weightlifting. Just switch it up and do more of a cardio type weightlifting than your standard "3 sets of 10 and sit around for a while". I lose plenty of weight doing a more intense lifting program where I'm not really resting much (think p90x type of program).
Nothing special. Just standard lifts at moderate weight.
quote:No joke... this is where some of my weight loss efforts have been derailed in the past. It is possible to reward yourself for some hard work up to this point without falling back into bad habits. Gotta remind myself of that.
Good luck with Super Bowl weekend, everyone!
