1. - 1966 Mustang - Red w/ black vinyl inside. Had the inline 6 with a 3-spd on the floor. My dad bought this when I was in 4th grade as a bit of a project/fun car. He pulled the engine a couple of days after he bought it and it didn't run again until my brother got his license 5 years later.
2. - 1991 Isuzu pickup - Black w/ silver interior. Got it new after six months with the mustang, Dad got tired of the frequent repairs. This truck was basically four wheels and a heater when I got it, but I slowly added AC, stereo and wheels to make it into a respectable truck.
3. - 1990 Dodge Daytona ES - red w/ silver interior, had the 3.0 V6 and a 5 spd. I absolutely loved this car, bought it in 1993 after a run of bad luck with the Isuzu had me convinced it was cursed. I put about 140,000 miles on this sucker over the next seven years. The odometer broke at 145,380 but I drove it for three more years after that so I'm estimating it was pushing 200K when I got rid of it. It was just tired towards the end there.
4. - 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix - grey/grey, my dad gave me this car when he was in asset liquidation mode. I had it concurrently with the Daytona for a couple of years but didn't really drive it much. My wife started driving it right before we got married, but was in a pretty nasty wreck (not her fault) that pretty much did it in. I was only carrying liability on it and the other guy was uninsured and consequently skipped town. The cops said he may have been undocumented. I ended of selling the car to a salvage yard for next to nothing.
5. - 1985 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport (seems like I am going backwards huh?) was my grandfather's old car and I started driving it when he couldn't anymore and the Daytona was starting to wear out. It had only 54,000 miles on it in 1999, the exterior was immaculate as it was garage kept and washed every saturday need it or not. The interior was an entirely different story as Pappy chain smoked menthols with the windows up. I scrubbed it down, got seat covers to cover up all the burns and drove it for a couple of years.
6. - 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, regular cab, V6, 5spd. after driving the Euroaport for a couple of years, it started needing the attention that a 16 year old car typically needs and it really wasn't something I wanted to sink money into so I bought The Dodge. I got rear-ended in this truck during the month of April on three consecutive years, one was pretty bad and it was in the shop for two months since they couldn't get it quite right, finally ended up having to take it away from Progressive and take it to a frame specialist. I liked the truck, but it really wasn't practical for hauling around a wife and two rugrats, so after around 135,000 miles (and the prospect of having a 100-miles round trip to work with rising gas costs) it went away.
7. - 2007 Toyota Camry LE, black/silver
Pretty much a boring car, looks nice, gets great gas mileage, but it was the right fit when I was looking to buy. Don't know how long I'll keep driving this one, could be another year, could be ten more, who knows?
