I know I know. I was going to spill a bunch of pics on here. But I emailed Stan at Toyota Trails to submit a couple pics to the magazine and he asked me to write a story instead, so I am holding back. I will only post the ones here that I have already posted elsewhere. TLDR: The trip was awesome and wheeling my 40 after everything I have done to it was a dream come true. Short wheel base leaf sprung vehicle with no power steering on the rocks is an experience. I crawled over everything I pointed it at all without lockers. I was very happy with the performance of my razr mt's in all different terrain types we ran through and I ran them down to 16 PSI on my narrow OEM steelies with no problems. The 200 performed just fine towing the 40 there and back, but I would definitely invest in the Cruiser Brothers/WAT valve body kit if I was going to tow often.

It looks decently taken care of. It's obviously a kid hauler, so expect crumbs in every nook and cranny. The seller could have done a better job vacuuming it before taking pictures.

The steps, drawers, and BP-51 don't add any value for me and I have the same drawers and had the same suspension for a few thousand miles. If he's firm on price, I think it's too high. I think you can buy a new one for $79K +TT&L. You can call or text Eric Sarjeant on ih8mud for a price on a new 2021. You'll likely have to wait a month or two for it to come in though.

I agree on the pictures and was thinking about the same on pricing vs a '21.

Purely exploratory right now but I've been wanting a 200 for a long time and I'm kicking myself not buying one when I bought my F150 I'm 2019. Now that their days are limited I'm exploring scratching that itch.

Talking to a dealer about a '21 base LC ... currently we are at $81.9k offer and they've offered $47.5k(!!!!) trade-in on my 2019 F150 FX4 plus $1,500 incentive to use Toyota financing @ 5.99% (barf). My intention would be to pay that off in a few months. I'm having a difficult time not selling my truck for $47.5k. Thoughts?

My company traded some vehicles recently and received really good pricing on trade-ins. Something about a shortage of used cars.

$81.9 seems high. It's been a year or more since I looked, but invoice plus $750 on a new Land Cruiser without TVs was around $79,000 through Eric on ih8mud.

I agree and tried talking down but what he couldn't give off the sell price he kept adding to the trade. Up to $48k trade on my 2019 F150.

I'll reach out to Eric for comparison's sake.

EDIT: Just for info - I spoke with Eric. Yes, he would be lower on the sale price but also $4-5k lower on trade-in value. He recommended taking the deal from the dealer I'm talking with, if I want a new LC.

I have a '13 200. My law partner has a 2019. Mine feels like it has more pep. This due to the different ******? I kind of want to trade up for a 2021 before they are gone, but like how much more twitch mine has.

Say someone was interested in getting the OEM front coil spacers (part #43136-60020) installed on a new 200. Would you direct them a Toyota dealership (which one?) or Duggy's/Javier's?

Either is fine. You'll want an alignment after it's done. If you have a Toyota dealership you trust, I would just go with them since they can do the spacers and alignment. I'm not sure if all Toyota dealers do this, but my local Toyota dealer warrants their alignment for 12 months 12,000 miles, so I can have them check the alignment every time I have the oil changed.

If you have a Land Cruiser specialist shop that does alignments, I would have them do both as they're probably going to do a better alignment than just "getting it in the green."

I don't have any experience with any Houston Toyota dealers. I guess I'd prefer to stay with a dealership for warranty reasons, but not sure which, if any, are worth their salt.

I've used Javier's for my old Jeep and heard great things about Duggy's for LC's.

You'd be fine with something this simple at either shop. Timing is always an issue at Javier's though. You could really install those spacers yourself though.

My buddies from Austin came to pick up my 40 a couple weeks ago. They rolled coal down here in the HDJ80 and caravanned back in both trucks. I bought an '87 with 124k the following week from a friend in San Antonio. Originally a NM truck, then AR a few years before TX. My PO did a ton of refresh work and it is pretty well sorted already. OG dark blue metallic has faded to a dark teal and features faded graphics and a weird eagle stencil on the hood #america.
