How much off sticker could I expect to get on an Unlimited?

Based on my recent experience, even buying used, most of these guys don't have a lot of wiggle room on these Wranglers. That was the only downside when trying to negotiate.

10%. 11-12+% would be a great deal. That's off msrp (sticker).

I got about 7% off in the form of an overvalued trade in from making 2 dealers compete.

I got 10% and free all weather mats from Covert in Austin. They were pretty much advertising the 10% off on their website. No trade, cash deal. I double checked their numbers with known msrp prices and it was a legit 10% with no hidden fees.

And that was on a jku sport with auto tranny, hardtop, 3.73 gears and the power convenience option group.

If you can't get that then google the "tread lightly" discount which if I recall is 2% below invoice. That's the highest you should pay.

Ripped my busted fender flare off today and rebuilt it using some cheapo clips from Amazon. Almost back to looking like new!

Now all you need is some new wheels and tires!

You should be able to get invoice pricing fairly easy which is usually about 4% less than sticker. When I bought mine I got $500 under invoice plus USAA had a $1000 rebate offer.

If you join tread lightly at the $100 they have a program where you get 1% under invoice automatically.

Took the hard top off with my wife's help and thought she was going to die and I was going to lose a window or two. Maybe I'll look at a garage winch instead of the house wench.

I've been shopping literally all over the country. The Jeep I want locally is a Rubicon Hard Rock, package 23J with a MT. Sticker is 46,810. Hard top, trailer tow, body color fender flares.

I found one down the road...Rubicon Hard Rock with soft top and AT for 39,999.

I've found plain Jane Rubicons marked down as low as 33,500.

Any possible way I get the one I want down to 40?

Tell them you want it for $38k and start negotiating

If you just want a Jeep to play around with and have fun get a Sport. Seriously they are far more capable than people give them credit for.
If you want to stay stock or fairly tame in your build but still wheel the hard then get a Rubicon.
If you need to Bro out and Mall Crawl like a bawse then get a Rubicon.
If you just want a nice interior and appearance get a Sahara.
If you want to build a bad ass rig then to wheel the piss out of get a Sport and build it up. You'll toss out most of the parts you pay more for in a Rubicon anyways.

I'm actually not a fan of a lot of the Sahara trim that you pay extra for...the painted flares (which will chip), painted roof (which makes the Jeep look too much like any old SUV) and the silver bumper inlays (looks way too plasticy).

Installed Tyger Star Armor rails over the weekend by myself, which was interesting. Ghetto rigged my laundry basket (seen left side) as my second pair of hands. Really like these, and the price was right.

Seem to be in the minority these days if I prefer the look of the 2d over the 4d family wagon.

I like things a bit backwards. I like Wranglers with 4 doors and Tahoes with 2 doors.

Ended up with a Rubicon. First vehicle I've bought for ME. every other vehicle was given to me or a pass down after my wife got a new car. I love it so far. Top is off and will remain off for the summer.

Ended up installing those kicker speakers in the front as well. That was a challenge, but easily worth the stress and cut up hands.

Is the sound less distorted at high volumes? I've been debating the Kickers, but don't want to have to install an amp in order to hear music with the top off.

Not worried about bass notes as much as being able to at least recognize which song is playing while the top is off and the radio is at full volume. My '12 was fine, but my '16 has probably the worst sounding speakers I've ever heard, and I've owned a pontoon boat.
