Pulled some strings with the rib and had a major YOLO moment over the weekend.

Obviously there are 1000 mods you can do, but what are some of the first "must-do" tweaks to a stock Wrangler?

Then lift 3.5 inches with 35s.

Hello, fellow '16 JKU owner! What color you get?

Some small things I'm in progress of getting/installing:

- AntennaX 13" antenna
- Grabars
- Dead pedal (M.O.R.E or knock off)
- Spiderwebshade JKini

If you plan on some beach driving, get some "Fluid Film Spray" and spray the undercarriage liberally (don't get on brakes).

That'll keep you busy while you decide what lift and tires to put on.

What kind of grab bars are you looking at? Solid or flexible?

Looking at the Tyger Star Armor steps as well.

Also, the stock speakers suck. Kicker makes a drop-in woofer replacement part no "77KICK10" for around $70 a pair (2 pair needed...dash and top soundbar). Their are also some tweeters that you can replace...but you'll get the biggest bang for your buck with the woofers (so I hear...in my shopping cart currently). If you got premium audio ignore this....those have different ohm speakers.

Also, regarding a replacement antenna, take a look at this one, supposedly much better reception than the one you're looking at (although the short rubber one looks better aesthetically).

Pics? Been thinking about going the 15" route when I lift. I like the classic chrome 8-hole rim on Jeeps. Had 33s on 15s on a truck back in the day and I'm still partial to the big sidewall look. You notice much drift when driving at highway speeds?

2. buy $5k '92ish YJ
3. dump rest of money into mods


Seriously, congrats on your new jeep. I say put a little lift on it, run 33s, and call it good for awhile. Just whatever you do, don't get tube doors because they're gay.

You've got me nearly sold on those kicker speakers, but looking through how-tos for the in-dash replacement gives me the skeevies.

The sound bar replacement looks like a snap.

Stock tires on a JKU are 32.1". No need for a lift.

Actually you can go 37s with no lift on a JKU if you trim or go with flat fenders.

Yes to everything on there besides the antenna. Those don't do much and usually you wind up with worse reception.

I have the Grabars, M.O.R.E. Dead Pedal and a Spider Shade. They are all awesome.

With the Grabars I can easily swing up into my Heep without needing steps even with 37s and a 4" lift.

i have the antennaX. looks much better and only a small amount of reception loss. don't go any shorter than 13 unless you are a sirius only listener.

I'd still put a small lift and run 33s, just because I think it looks nice, a little bigger than stock, and wont require a lot of additional mods or **** with fuel economy too bad.

I admit to not knowing much about JKs, but I would imagine that 37s are either going to suck on the highway or require a regear.

Furlock, can you tell me the advantage of that bumper (the high point on it specifically)? I've seen a few like that, but don't know much about them.

Regarding a lift, what's a "small" lift, and how much are we talking for it all costs considered? Probably something I'll do when I wear out the stock tires.
