Found the one I want. It's in Florida , though, so my backup is in town. 2008 CPO 335i, all bells and whistles, clean CarFax. Haven't contacted the dealer yet, but I think I can get it for around $30k.

Two issues: would have to puck it up in FLA or have it shipped, and the dealer has a poor rating on DealerRatings.com. For the first, anyone have an idea on shipping costs? For the second, not sure what to make of it. On the one hand, it's a CPO and I won't ever have to deal with the dealer past the purchase. On the other, there's some chance they're hiding something that I won't see until I've arrived in FLA or had it arrive at my house.

Any advice on how to deal with this situation? It's the clear favorite for me (maroon, two-tone interior, all options, etc.), but there are a couple of alternatives locally that are also really nice. Since I've never bought a car sight-unseen, I don't know all the perils. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I started reading this thread without noticing the date, topic sounded familiar but it didn't click until the poop slap comments came out. My normally quiet office was full of my LOL'ing.
