Funny thing is, those style of Subie were STOUT streetcars if the driver knew wtf they were doing. The new ones are dogs, comparatively. Yes, they're weird looking, but they were the beginning of respectable rice in the States, imho.
The dyno shop I went to Saturday specialized in Evo/WRX/SRT4/ etc. they had two Evo's with engines that were, literally, works of art. I just about jizzed myself. 2.0L + boost = happy pants.

I saw that the other day but I couldn't take a picture of it. It has about 3"x1" strips of reflective material all over it. It was in the parking lot of Whataburger over on Texas by HEB.
