You didn't work out at the A&M Center in Bushland in the early 80's did you?

Whoa....actually, I did. I was the tech for O.R. (Reggie) Jones and my wife worked for Santa Fe Energy. When they transferred her job to Houston, she and I quit amd returned to Hale Center to farm.

In 1994, we moved back to Canyon so our kids could attend Canyon schools, which we felt were superior. I'm farming south of Canyon now, and the spouse is working at Pantex.

So who are you?

I was a summer worker for you and Reggie in 79 and 80 while I was working on my Agronomy degree at TAMU. We poured concrete run-off flumes and moved pipe most of the summer, as I recall.

The profile pic is me in front of the German bunkers at Pointe du Hoc that Rudder's rangers put out of commission on D-Day.

Since those long-ago days, Mickey and I are approaching our 25th anniversary this year. Our son is a fish in C-2 in the Corps, our daughter is a junior at CHS, and I'm older and fatter.

Reggie has long since retired. Eddie Womack, one of the other summer guys, is county director of Tulia (Swisher County) FSA. Russ Jones is also in the FSA system, I believe. Mark Woods is head of the shop out at Bushland now. He has a very smart daughter who graduated with our son last year and is headed toward pharmacy school. Monty Schoenhals (tech for Allen Wiese) is at Pantex now in the enviromental division.


I didn't see your profile photo at first. I use Firefox as a browser, and some setting I have wrong won't allow certain pictures. I have yet to decipher the cause. I did see it by opening it in Internet Explorer.

I'm from the Panhandle. It's been a LONG time though, since I was there. Went to school in a tiny camp town (anyone out there heard of it?) called Bunavista, just outside of Borger. Then, we moved to Fritch (anyone?). I went to first through third grade at Bunavista, then third through sixth at Sanford-Fritch.

Man would I like to see those parts again! I miss the cooler weather up there, the sunsets, and the wind blowing all the time .

My best friend is from Adrian. Yes, Adrian. I thought I would get a plug in for him.
