The City of Canadian really confused a bunch of people in Houston a few years ago (early 80s, IIRC).

Someone robbed a bank and escaped in a helicopter. They refueled in Canadian. (I'm sure they refueled more than once. I rode from Galveston to Oslo in a Bell Jet Ranger once and we had to refuel twice on the way. The second time was in Pampa.)

Anyway, lots of people in Houston thought they had escaped to Canada.

Littlefield used to kick our rear all the time...I don't like them either...I also hated River Road, Tulia, Canyon, Dimmitt, Floydada, Shallowater, and especially Muleshoe.
