born in lubbock, but lived in dimmitt here is where my parents moved to starting when i was born. dimmitt from 80-87. then tulia from 87-90. then coppell from 90-93, then tyler from 93-99, and then back to lubbock 99-2003, and now live in aquilla (north of waco).

jebber, how old are you? my mother taught at springlake earth back in the day. i believe she taught there from 79-83 or so.

Harv, do you ever eat at Rafter G's? I would put their bbq up against anyone's anywhere. It's a surprise that it's never mentioned in any magazines as having such great food.

Racer - I graduated from Canyon High in 1991.

spudag - Yes, my parents live within spitting distance of Rafter G's! When I was growing up, it was a german restaurant called the Reingold, run by a crotchety old kraut. It was pretty good german food, but yea, Rafter G's kicks butt.

Lubbock - Stewart Elementary. Our house was located where the Toy's r Us parking lot is now at 61st & Slide. Watched them build South Plains Mall. If you ever wondered about the "open air" storage building at Stewart elementary or heard legends about a fire/explosion, I've got some insight on that story (statute of limitations have expired - LOL)...

Did an internship in 2003 in Plainview and fell in love with the place. Not necessarily Plainview, but I did really like Cotton Center!

I grew up in West Texas and New Mexico, and would love to move back some day. I've been in Southeast Texas (Houston and College Station) for 20 years, and I am sick and tired of the heat and humidity...not to mention my allergies are horrible and seem to be getting worse every year. I have several close friends that live in Lubbock, and I always have fun when I go to visit them.

I grew up in Hale Center, used to live just north of Cotton Center, at the intersection of FM 179 and FM 1914.

While it is home, I really love being further north, as I am now.

Nope I worked for the extension agent - ipm for Hale & Swisher counties.

Ahh, that would have been my second guess. The extension ento guy used to be Greg Cronholm, don't know if he is still around or not.

Anyone in the North Houston area interested in getting a Panhandle Aggie Club together. I really miss visiting with Panhandle people. We seem to be a different breed as we all find out when we venture out into the world.
