We don't need a new stadium...but if we build one can we please get it out of the middle of nowhere south of the Med Center?
....you want it to F up traffic in the middle of somewhere that you live?

What are your favorite bars and restaurants to walk to from NRG?swimmerbabe11 said:
right, I think that it is far from "the middle of nowhere" (actually I sell homes about 10 minutes away from it/the new Helix project), but its conveniently out of the way, so you can get to it easily, but it doesn't make downtown anymore miserable than it needs to be.

Lot of yall forgetting about East River.
It's the perfect place for Cal and the Gang. Plenty of space with a great view of Downtown.
People can boat to the game while churning up dead bodies in their wake. Kayakers can also paddle to the game while dodging mostly submerged Buicks.
Let your mind wander a bit and you'll find the answer.
This is a dumb statement.WES2006AG said:What are your favorite bars and restaurants to walk to from NRG?swimmerbabe11 said:

The Titans and Bill are currently building new stadiums with public funding. While the Jags procured public funding for a massive renovation/rebuild. In fact the only team in recent memory that got a hard no on public funds was the Chargers.

Do y'all really think a new stadium is warranted? I find it hard to believe that is justified.

I still don't understand what's wrong with it. The only specific thing I've seen mentioned is that there are no luxury suites on the field level.
Restaurants, bars, etc is silly, they play 90% of the games at noon on a Sunday.
It's probably just the fact that they can't get any superbowls now, and the rich and elite love those events.
And 90% of their fans are already drunk, or plan to be, shortly thereafter.Cynic said:W said:

these stadium owners are making $ with other events at the stadium, its no longer just the teams in there. I would argue there are not many on this thread that have been in more places in that stadium than me, and it definitely has issues on top of the other events I mentioned.Cynic said:W said:

Whoa, I was just thinking that NRG hosted a super bowl recently but that was in 2017.Cynic said:W said:
