A Control Building is probably the safest place you could be, but unfortunately, that means you're at work.

I had a couple week stay at Methodist some years back. The helicopters landing in the Med Center were pretty frequent considering how many hospitals are close together there.
The people that choose that hotel better have good earplugs.
I'm currently in a corner room on the second from top floor and haven't heard anything but I have l an air mattress which would mask some of the noise.
Dunn Tower or another wing?

If that area gets hit just release all the chlorine into the flooding. Problem solved.

If you live on the north side of town you might not even get rain. But yeah, just like Beryl. Post less.

You should probably board up and evacuate then! This is a completely different scenario than Beryl. I won't waste my breath any longer on explaining why this won't hit us.

I feel like being in the bullseye before it forms is a good thing. The cone always shifts once the storm forms and the models get an idea of where the eye is. This isn't based on any actual science so much as it's wishful thinking.
Latest GRAF Model is faster than the official NHC track, but is red-flagging a potential rapid intensification cycle with #PTC6. We'll be watching the trends in this model as we move forward. #lawx pic.twitter.com/Sr3pjkdo1M

The trajectory of approach with this hurricane will be tough, a small deviation means huge changes in impacts for certain areas. Notice the 18Z euro ensembles - very few are near the NHC track. A much greater risk to SE LA if this comes to fruition. I’ll be on FOX 8 at 4AM. pic.twitter.com/0P6J58rkOD

Evening tropical models did sneak slightly eastward, which puts their consensus tracks closer in line with operational modeling, suggesting a storm track toward SW Louisiana and offshore of Texas. Interests btw Beaumont & Lafayette/Baton Rouge should monitor closely. pic.twitter.com/fuIFEkxBtP
