I offered to my neighbor to have my lawn service cut up the tree, we agreed the price was decent. The tree was managed.

The lawn service guy told me it's about a 75/25 split, mine being the lessor of the two, in terms of the effort to manage it.

So do my neighbor and I split it as such or does the neighbor have responsibility since it was his tree?

Tree was healthy, it appears this is truly an act of God.

I'm reading elsewhere we just split it amicably and be done with it. His insurance likely won't cover it since it neither caused damage nor blocked my neighbors driveway. I think that's how we're gonna handle it.

75/25 split seems fair. And with the city/county hauling debris away you just have to get it all to the curb and wait.

But I'm green on the map so I'm pretty sure CP is counting me in the 85% restored by today number.

Shop shows in the green but we've got like 60 volts, they counting that as energized?

Nothing earth shattering other than acknowledging my multiple follow ups on the email I sent late last week. Said they escalated my issue since it appeared to be caused by their lack of easement maintenance and were doing everything they can to get us online today instead of Tuesday as originally estimated. Could be bull****, but I was just shocked to receive a call.

I wasn't sure I even had the right email addresses. Their old head or IR published his in CapIQ, so I took a shot that the format was the same.

Everyone on my neighborhood Facebook page very well could be full of ***** But there is a large group of trucks staged at Waltrip HS. They finished at the coast and came here. They've been there all day waiting on instructions from CenterPoint.

Hope everyone is starting to get their power back, I got lucky and it came on again Monday night. Centerpoint has to make some changes or forced too. Houston needs to invest in its infrastructure and hurricane relief efforts to restore power.

Thank you much. The one on the right was so upset when the thunderstorms were rolling through and she had to delay her trip. She was so incredibly eager to serve and it just completely melted my heart. Couldn't have been more proud.
