That sucks. Our neighbor texted and said we have power back but I've not nothing on my hub coming back online. I'm guessing it's because I shut the generator down and turned the transfer switch off.

Does anyone know what to do with a whole home when you shut it off how it's supposed to be under load and the power comes back on?

I'm hoping so. My in laws and my SIL both live in KP.

The useless outage map hasn't been updated since noon. It still shows today for my address. What do you guys think? Will I get power in the next hour and 40 minutes? Surely Centerpoint has this all under control and isn't putting random information out.

I posted this earlier but just gonna try one more time. I know it's a longshot.

If anyone has a mother in law suite or something similar in Houston please let me know. Willing to pay.

Got an email from CP today saying my power is scheduled to return on July 15. I got power back on July 11.

Their entire communication system is so flawed.

Aaaand the transformer just blew. My side of the street without power again.

Trees are still falling everywhere, people are gonna be really pissed when they get power back and lose it again.

Gut check question…

Neighbors tree(s) feel across our street with the tops landing in my yard.

Aside from creaming a bench I had out front, no other damage to my property other than clean up of debris once removed.

Who owns the cost of the tree cut up and removal?

Yep... whatever is on your property is your responsibility if it was an act of god / weather. You'd have to prove he intentionally knocked it onto your property or was negligent in its health and somehow his negligence resulted in the tree falling.

Same thing happened to my parents. The neighbors tree fell across the property line and smashed their garage lean to and totaled their 5th wheel...

My parents have to clear the tree from their side of the property. In fact they had a storm chaser tree company come try and get money from both party's insurance and said they'd need a crane to remove it. My mom and dad laughed them off the property.

I understand that in cases of property damage ones insurance would manage the cost. Had we incurred damage I'd absolutely agree.

In this case, with no damage, I'm still confused.

Were he to have his car back out and take out my mailbox, it'd be on him. But As an act of god I guess it's different.

Just saw them cruise by really slowing and was curious what they were doing…
