How long does power need to be out before it's reasonable to go Purge on the people that obviously have whole house generators after dark?

Still no power in 77024. Generator going strong.
We were down for 5 days during derecho. I was hoping this time we would be spared a long outage.

The United 5:00pm SEA-IAH is on its way. Scheduled to land at 11ish. I know because I watched it take off while I sat in the corner and cried. The Alaska Air flight at around the same time was cancelled.

Yeah. My mom lost one of her fences in Galveston.
Just got up to CS to a hotel. Our house in Klein area 77068 made it through but so many houses in our neighborhood had trees through roofs. Power lines down all over. So we tapped out and got to AC and a running city. T&P for all who are raw dogging no AC the next few days.

No power in Bolivar, but I've got enough 5G to stream Netflix. Meanwhile, in Kingwood you can barely make a phone call on a normal day.

I was just about to check 77386. My mom lives off Rayford and is trying to decide whether to stay with us in Austin a few more days or head back home. Sounds like she needs to extend her stay.

Tons of trees down back in Benders Landing. Saw a bunch of trees sitting on power lines.
My assumption is now that night has fallen we are unlikely to see a restoration until at least tomorrow.

This makes sense now. I thought it was odd I didn't see a single centerpoint truck out on the road today for a 10-15 mile radius. Our area didn't have much damage either.

She researched it for like 9 months before buying it and planned to keep it another 10-15 years... they don't make it anymore and the layout was perfect for them and the grandkids... Our customer crews from New Jersey left Saturday morning to Texas.
Power (and cell) still out in southern Montgomery County (Centerpoint).

When I was at my utility, we had to figure out a merit/seniority system to determine which crews could travel to outages, There were literal fist fights over who was going to go. They love to suck up that FEMA money on overtime.Premium said:
