Spring / The Woodlands. The storm has been traveling along a path putting the right side eyewall over us for the past few hours and the the winds are still intense. Not sure how many of the trees are still standing.

Still very strong winds in spring branch now.
Sitting in cypress w no power wondering how long until restoration- recent event was 4 days… and the winds just picked back up w strong gusting.

My folks in JV have been on generator power since 2 this morning however their tv/internet (comcast) have been out. This seems to happen during every major storm that blows through. Is this a pretty common occurrence nowadays down there?

If Comcast backend for communications isn't supplied with generator backup how on earth do you think it'll work?
Cell towers have some backup capability and there is a hierarchy for which infrastructure needs prioritized (hospitals/police/fire). Not sure where or how commincation systems are designed and deployed.

Nothing can override the main box to the neighborhood losing power and they aren't going to stick a generator on every one.
Neighbor right behind caught a 60 foot water oak through the roof.

My in laws are in Clear Lake with no power and spotty cell service. They're A-OK other than no power and spotty cell service.
perfect (well not perfect but at least helps me get a sense of whats going on). appreciate the info!
