Lake Houston - first wave took out a sweetgum and wind was easily kicking 60 in backyard and still in front. Living on lake is strange during storms. You can feel the pressure being sucked off the water.

Lost power at 545. Generator is going to be worn out after this one. Keep working!!

My 7 year old storm lover is still sleeping, but will be begging to go "look for damage" soon.

No power and pool is getting close to the edge with no way to drain it without the pump being able to run

I got up right at 6, and thought it sounded eerily quiet. In the time it took me to feed the cats, it hit.

Still have power and was approved for a new roof last week.

Just wondering if this meets our hurricane quota and we're good for this season (and the next few).

I'm hoping the tallow tree in front of my house doesn't get finished off after the beating it took in May. I mean, it's a tallow tree, so meh, but it provides excellent shade in the afternoon.

Herzog says hurricane has not weakened and eye is east of El Campo, North of Bay City and west of Lake Jackson/Angleton.

Strongest winds are north of there around Wharton and the East Eyewall is the strongest over West Colombia and he says that is why you have to stay inside and not let your guard up.

Lost power around 5:55 am in Spring. I hear the buzzing every so often that sounds like it's trying to turn back on, but nothing.

Nerve-wracking watching the trees bend and sway. We've had so much tree damaged in the last year from various storms.

I'm watching my neighbor's cypress tree, hoping it doesn't do the bend & snap right into her living room.

I'm in 3 and From what I can see, it's gotten better lately vs what it was. still strong gusts, but the steady wind has been less than it was.
