Power is about to go in Firethrone in Katy it appears

Harvest Green lost power too.. 99 and Harlem in Richmond

Lost power in Falcon Point about 10 min ago. I think the next 60 minutes over here will be the worst.

But my neighbors on the other side of Bay Hill Blvd still have power. Hopefully a good sign

Sun is about to come out and at least it won't be too hot today. Hopefully crews fix power issues quickly

Had it not gotten the dry air in the middle, was there a greater chance that it just continued to intensify prior to making landfall?

not sure i understand your first question, but to the second - yes, if there was no dry air it would have had an easier time intensifying

Bay City

had the trees trimmed last fall. woke up to banging and have since been listening to a 4" limb banging and dragging along my gable. cant wait to see what this looks like when the sun comes up.

ah. i think you said it backwards - the dry air kept it from organizing further in advance, it only was able to get to cat 1 right at the end before landfall.

I left The Woodlands and evac to be with my parents in SE TX...but looks like I still have power because I can still check my RING cams...but the radar shows it is about to get very active.

An app I use Weather Underground forecasts 8+ inches of rain until 6pm...highest rain chances are thru 11 am. It showed 11+ inches an hour ago....so not sure why is reduced to 8. but I will take any positive.

I have already checked how to log in to my flood insurance site and provide all information needed. E mailed my home owner insurance agent to start the conversation / communication.

Just lost power in Woodcreek Reserve in Katy

This thing went farther east than expected, huh?

I doubt Austin gets a drop.

List giant oak tree in back that survived the derecho, almost took out addition and shed. One less tree in Timbergrove.

Me neighbor cannot catch a break. Still has a tarp on his roof after two months, and a limb just took out his back patio cover.

Dang.. sucks dude.. we lost a lot of trees in oak forest too..

Doesn't seem like much is happening here in the Pinehurst area. Bushes and trees are blowing and some rain but nothing crazy. All kids still asleep.
