Left on vacation Wednesday dismissing the storm because consensus was just South of Brownsville. I was on vacation so didn't pay attention at all and now learn West Houston will take a hit. Good luck everybody .

4 PM BERYL UPDATE: @NHC_Atlantic thinks Beryl will strengthen into a hurricane before landfall. In the update, the tropical storm had 65 mph winds and was moving north-northwest at 12 mph. It was about 130 miles away from Matagorda. #khou11
