Easy now fellas. Let's wait another 12-18hrs before spiking any footballs and tempting the weather gods.

Real question here, why do y'all have a problem with people driving with flashers on when visability is crap?
You can actually see the cars.
Anyone dunking on that is a moron.

The real problem with flashers is it makes it harder to tell when someone is braking ahead of you. It is a very bad choice. It might make you feel better but its fools gold. The road is more dangerous when flashers are on. Flashers are for an emergency not a caution.
Definitely a recent phenomenon. No idea where or why it came about, but I see it even with moderate amounts of rain. My wife has heard me rant about it countless times at this point.RingOfive said:DrZ said:

It also makes it more difficult to tell if someone is changing lanes. If you can only see one side of the vehicle then it looks like the vehicle is trying to get over.
It's downright stupid and unsafe. And I have no idea when this became a thing. It certainly wasn't a thing 20 years ago.
Great app - thanks for posting the link.rayneag said:

Big difference in forecast wind gust speeds between ICON and GFS - ICON much higher. In your opinion, which is more likely to be correct?

My wife is flying to Houston tonight (death in the family)....damn, I hope she gets in before it gets really dicey. Everything delayed understandably...but they're projecting a 10:20ish landing right now.

We need to get a law to make it illegal like in other states.

#Beryl still looks on track to strengthen into a hurricane before landfall, with pressure down to about 989 per @53rdWRS. Still, the structure doesn't seem to favor RI just yet, as the west eyewall is still not really closed off. Just slow intensification for now. pic.twitter.com/D5x0dRMNVB
