Did a pre-emptive strike on a few limbs that were a little too close to my house for comfort and brought in a bunch of old towels to put by the doors if there's more water than expected.

About to do as much laundry as possible and then hunker down for the duration.

I've been after Entergy for months to clear some of the power lines. 3 people have come out and said they will be trimmed but of course didn't trim them as well as fix the anchor wire for one of the poles on the property. Here's to hoping they don't cause any issues this go round.

I'm set with all of the normal household checklists, so I'm doing the smart thing and going to a bar for some day drinking.

Also, get a few of the big bottles of water, drink or make ice cubes a little from each, and freeze them. They'll keep your fridge / freezer cold in case of a lengthy power outage.

I reported three dead 100' foot pines last March and the contractors are so backlogged they won't bring the bucket trucks until November. Two next to electrical lines and one between the house and garage.

I was just at HEB trying to exchange a propane tank that had expired and Uhaul wouldn't refill. (no propane, but I don't plan to need it).

No carts available and bread/water limited to 2 per family.

Driving outbound from the 610 are on 290 yesterday during a heavy rain.

Flashers as far as the eye could see.

Probably 4 years ago they were driving alone with their flashers on, while wearing a mask.
