Significant power outages anytime it rains.

I think it's still out. Last message said they expected to have it restored by 12:45. I'm not home so I can't tell if the generator is still running.

I figured 45 would be a disaster so I got cute and took Hardy. Hardy was a mess. The light where you get off Hardy and turn left to the Sam Houston Tollway feeder was completely out so it was super, super backed up. Eventually you just have to laugh.

I had a class this semester out at Luetta and 249 every Wednesday at 6:00. I would leave the Heights at 4:30 and still be late. The traffic out that way made me want to kill myself.

You gotta snake your way thru the neighborhoods to 249. Montgomery Rd, and Breen Rd. I drove basically to that same area from the Med center for a long time and whenever the hardy was backed up that was one of my back up routes to get home.

Don't miss that drive at all. Spend way to much time , and toll money getting to/from work.

Freak downpour by NW Houston yesterday (June 8). Trees down and power out for a while.

Left the country for the first time in a couple of years and a massive storm hit the area where we moved to. Apparently 70+mph winds ripped through. 16 downed poles, 37 damaged transformers and 26k feet of wire down. Powers been out for 2 days now. Tree smashed part of a wrought iron fence. Wife, kids and dogs went and stayed with some friends at Bluejack so at least that's nice.

The real kicker is that this happened while several of my wives friends were staying over with their kids for my daughters 7th bday when it came through. While the power was out, apparently someone came on to our pretty secluded property and dropped some lady off who was screaming to be let in and beating on the door. Scared the everloving **** out of all the girls and moms. Cops had to come out and take her away. What. The. Hell. Story cops gave her is that they dropped her at the wrong house so they must have been REALLY lost.

Centerpoint reporting 275,000 people without power right now.

It was a war zone here in Spring for about 30 minutes. Slowing down now. Don't expect to have power until after midnight.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Quite the light show in Timbergrove.

Good check to see if things designed for a 3 second wind gust around 140 to 150mph stay standing

Just got back to the house from helping clear trees out of driveways in my street. Neighbors reported up to 6 trees down in a single back yard. We only had one pine tree blocking our street, happened to be in my front yard and crossing the street. Felt like a tornado came through and I definitely believe the 95mph wind reports. We live in the Woodlands.

We're in Spring. That was the worst storm I've ever sat through in my life. 97 mph winds? I believe it. Lost a giant oak tree in our backyard. Pulled it straight over from the roots, broke our sidewalk in half, took out the power lines. Neighbors all around us with downed trees. I was on the phone with my husband during the storm looking out the back window. Could only see when there was a flash of lightning (which was almost constant). Trees were bent over horizontal in the wind, and then in a second, they were flipped over opposite direction. I wouldn't be shocked to hear we had a small tornado come through. Neighbor that works for sheriff is convinced we did.

Centerpoint just said my power isn't going to be on tomorrow until 3pm. F all that. I hope they had a typo and meant 3am... Hopefully.

You must live near me. I just got the update that said 3:15 pm. They still haven't stopped by to see the downed tree/power lines in our backyard. Going to be a long night.

Here in Spring we finally got power back at 4AM roughly. No water pressure though at the moment. I'm assuming the tower is empty due to how long the outage was.

At 9:04 PM CDT, we observed a wind gust of 97mph at Bush Intercontinental Airport (KIAH) as strong storms impacted the area. This is the highest gust ever recorded at that site since observations began in 1969, surpassing the 82mph gust during Hurricane Ike in 2008. #houwx #txwx

We're in Klein. Not only did we lose power but our cell service was crap. Anyone else experience that? I was missing the landline days so I could check on my MIL.

I had no cell service from about 9pm until probably 3 or 4 this morning

We're in The Woodlands as well. We're picking my daughter up from school so we're not at home. Appreciate any updates.
