Folks lost power in Katy. Told my wife she's going to have a rough day WFH when the power goes out. Better get some lights from the garage. I'm downtown and it's damn dark but hasn't hit us yet.

I can only imagine the clusterflock 10W is going to be this afternoon.

This generator is on sale for a great price. Can power most houses.

Can also get it converted to Tri-Fuel for Nat Gas.

I wonder what the Venn diagram of people who turn their flashers on as soon as it starts raining and people who wear/wore a mask while alone in a car looks like. Maybe not one circle, but it's got to be approaching that.

Folks are fine with heir built in. Wife didn't complain so we were OK. And we have a gunny as well, just a pain to set up, ours is not NG/auto.

And now not a drop is falling.

Can't find the THD rating. We already have one that can power my house and AC via a manual cutout on the main box. Modified some other appliances to make sure we'd be good.

I just need to construct a box for it to live in that'll also reduce noise.

With truck in the shop thanks to A/C problems, I had a handy excuse to WFH. Glad I won't have to deal with the traffic morons this afternoon.

I don't know what it is about people in this town, but as soon as one drop of rain falls, the stupid switch gets flipped. One group immediately slows down to 20 mph or less, then another believes it's time to do their best Ricky Bobby impersonation. It's uncanny.

People on I-10 today just said screw it and pulled off the road on to the shoulder today. Probably 10 cars sitting on the shoulder with their hazards on.

At least they did it correctly instead of turning on hazards and slowing down to 25.

If you're worried about THD, then you'd only want to look at an inverter. Those will be quite a bit more expensive though.

I have this one and have run it several times during outages without any issues. Same for quite a few others.

I feel like the only ones asking want to make it known they are leaving. With this kind of weather knowing how I10 is, we'd take a smoke break at 2:30 pm, then figure since we're already in the garage, may as well just scoot on out. 9/10 times no emails or calls until 4:30pm when people realized you were gone. By then It didn't matter. It's all about strategery.
